Oh. I just logged out of the new site. When I clicked on my link here it returned me to the voting page anonymously, giving me the opportunity to vote again. I suggest disabling anonymous voting. btw I voted yes, because I like my avatars.
Also, maybe further down the line, it might be a nice idea to allow members to tag their new topics: news, uk, islamic discussion, festivals, fun, general etc. Other forums are organised with a forum for each category, which is a rubbish way to surf, but tags are a good way to keep topics on track and encourage discussion of specific issues, which might address Ed's point about the forums losing their relevance.
One more small thing. On these forums I have changed my name after 613 posts. It's not vital that I do that. But on the new forums it credits me with a larger number of posts, such as on the Juma Mubarak thread. Maybe it is including PMs or deleted posts?

It still does this to my reply on the Rushdie thread.

I KNOW there is an option to change the colours. I have used it. But atm my mind is so blank I cannot find it.
Secondly, somehow I have managed to re activate the subjects in comments, but now cannot disable it again! GRRRRR!!!!!

I can retain the old ones, but afaik, no one really liked these either!

Yes, the button is gone.
This is what I was referring to about the subject line. It still seems to be happening if you don't specify a subject for a thread, on polls at least:

btw congratulations on the poll node.

Smileys here (maybe set 5) and here (one of the first few "Color Shifted" sets) if you can't retain the old ones.
