Well This is the new No Topic Topic. π
For those who do not know, this place is to talk about nothing. Nada. Zilch. And everything else which according to you does not deserve it's own topic.
The other one was getting a bit long, and was just full of bickering now.
So we have a new start.
The bickering in the Old no topic should not be carried over to here.
EDIT - go to NO TOPIC the Third.

What do you expect they'll be like?
The only obvious drawback I can think of is that they might be noisy.

Lol. Most asians I know that live in my area are mirpuris.
The only stereotype I have with them is that they are very cultural and strict when it comes to their women.
But at least half of the ones I know have proven me wrong.

I can't wait to see my dads reaction when i tell him, he cannot stand cultural people, esp mirpuris. From what weβve been told by our neighbours, they are the typical desi family who are very loud, know every other mirpuri in the uk (they're moving from slough), nosy, have big weddings and so on!
NO TOPIC
Lol. I live in a city which is full of mirpuri's. I went to school with mirpuri's.
To be honest, nowadays you cant really tell which city/town/village anyone is from.
Its only on rare occasions when cultural differences are brought to the surface.

Hey watch your mouths ok im a mirpiri and i dont like this bad mouthing and stereotyping of them.

So carry on.

Mirpuris are very distinctive, i can easily spot them. Most dress, talk, dress alike and know the same people.
And Funzo, chill

One last thing, their punjabi is hilarious!
NO TOPIC
You know whats weird, here in London. I cant tell who's a mirpuri or who's not (most of the ones I know speak Urdu and have decent careers)
Yet, in ghettoised Small Heath in B'ham were I was born...I can spot them a mile off.
And its usually the language or the fact that a young girl was married off at 14 that gives it away...
But then again...my dad speaks great punjabi and he's from an posh Urdu speaking background.

There are loads of different castes in Mirpur. Bear in mind Mirpur is not only a city but also a district.
Marriage partners have to be first cousins, if not they have to be from the same caste, and if not that then they have to be from Mirpur. If they're not from Mirpur then someone in one family has to know someone from the other family. There has to be some connection somewhere.

Thats fascinating.
From what I've seen Raja's seem to be very similar to MP's in their attitude to a lot of stuff. So I was just wondering if all Raja's were MP's.
BTW how accepting are the third generation MP's (i.e. you) to their parents ideals?
is it just me or are job application forms get longer and more ridiculous as the years go by?
I was applying for royal mail a few weeks ago (christmas vacancy) and they wanted to know what I did for the previous five years. In bold it said something like 'every single day has to be accounted for'. I could've spent an hour filling that section in but I just gave up.
