Seriously I aint lying.

I think it was a country in the middle east.

What's rotf?

You — Mon, 19 Jun 2006 - 01:07

A bigger version of lol.

Before lol was laughing out lound. Now, its more a sign of amusement.

So you need something else which is really funny. hence rotfl. rolling on the floor laughing.

speaking of cheating

i'm always sitting amongst cheaters-i always have to avoid eye contact cos they make me give them the answers

one guy was cheating using his hands free phone

MuslimBro — Mon, 19 Jun 2006 - 20:06

If he was using handsfree didn't the exam invigilaters notice the ear peice in his....well, ear?

And he had to talk so didn't they also notice him talking to himself?

When I was doing my gcse's cheating was so easy. Near to the end of the exam alot of people started speaking so it was hard to control everyone.

Exquisite — Tue, 20 Jun 2006 - 13:03

GCSE's was so easy to cheat especially if your in a a massive hall wiv like 4 invigilators amd 210 students, i remeber someone turned around proper n started talking to me n i got so scared, GCSE's were so easy read the revision guide n memorise chunks of the text book, good ol days

MuslimSister — Tue, 20 Jun 2006 - 16:56

I've given up on revision...its way too hot to revise. I spent the whole day procrastinating today by spending 5hours cleaning my car. Revision bores me.
 I wasn't expecting that from you.

You should be encouraging us younger lots.

I've been revising all day for the past two weeks (even at night sometimes) and I still think I haven't revised enough.
After going through your GCSE's, A levels, degree finals, loads of entrance/job exams...you get sick of studying for exams.

I was handed an exam paper yesterday that had many questions that were identical to the questions sent to three months ago in a practice paper...and still I couldnt answer them. If I do badly, I'll only have myself to blame.

BTW study hard for your A levels...its the hardest exams you'll ever have to do, esp since 90% is based on memorisation.

MuslimBro — Tue, 20 Jun 2006 - 21:04

Thanks sis.

I've got another exam tommorrow and the problem with A2 especially is that there's so much to learn and the questions are so specific.

If only I knew what the questions were....

I used to get that too, dunno why seeing as most of the time i didnt have a clue what to write in the exam! I just use to give them dirty looks and look away.

wow mashaAllah fantastic news sis so happy for u, must b over the moon, now u can enjoy the summer unlike the rest of us who have a long wait, congratz again 8)

MuslimBro — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:16

Congrats Sis. But aren't the results just provisional so it might change when you get your actual certificate...not likely though.

I did my psychology exam yesterday and it went arrgh!! I like to break something or bite someone.

I revised so much (even at night) and the questions they gave us was sooooo specific, I didn't have enough to write.

I just hope my high B's in my AS grade and my other 2 units make up for this.

Exquisite — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:19

yeah my bro has psychology exam yesterday he said he found it orite, Muslim Bro hpe uv been revising properly, staying too long on the internet, are ur exams finished?

Angel — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:22

Thanks guys, Muslim bro our results are final coz the panel chair have a meeting end of may and that's when they decide on the final results so it wont change, these are my final grades....

I am sure your exam went good, you said you studied so inshallah you will pass. Good luck with your results exquisite

Beast — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:25

Congratulations Angel.

I was afraid about the how final the final marks were. I got 5 marks above the minimum that I wanted. But now I know it's final.

Thanks, btw is that u graduating this year? How did the disertation go?

Beast — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:31

I graduate this year. But I'm gonna do a Masters. Not expecting to get a good job with just a History degree.

For my dissertation I got 66. Better than the 3rd I was expecting.

MuslimBro — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:31

That's what most people said, that they found the exam alrite.

I think I spent too much time on the first section so I had to rush the next two sections.

I've got 4 more exams next week. I'm just worried about my sociology exam coz in my other subject in some sections we get a choice of which question to do. But in the sociology exam we have no choice so have to do the 3 questions we're asked to do.

Exquisite — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:33

dont worry inshaAllah ul do great, but good thng wiv compulsory subject similar thngs come up neways good luck with the remiander or ur exams, our family are done with exams, for this year

That's good to hear.

Your education system is somewhat different to ours, so is this your 3rd year? If you want ur masters, do u have to do a further 2 years or just the one year?

Beast — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:49

This was my third year. Masters is one year.

How different is it for you? How long till you graduate?

Angel — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 13:53

well this is just my third year hence an ordinary degree (still deciding whether i shud graduate now or not coz i no longer wana do this subject). If i do another year I will get my honours and if i do a year further to that only then I will get my masters.

Sirus — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 17:24

Beast — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 17:41

Thanks.

I got a 2:1.

Masters will be in Urban and Regional Studies (or 'Public Policy' to avoid confusion when trying to explain it to people).

The jalebi is here. Send me a stamped self-addressed envelope and I'll post it to you.

That's how much it costs.

Course fees alone are £4000.

I'm gonna take out a loan for the course fees and try to get a job for books, travel, etc.

Sirus — Thu, 22 Jun 2006 - 17:58
