salman rushdie honoured by queen: reaction justified?
salaam
Salman Rushdie now is a Sir
Salman Rushdie's name has been included in Queen's Honour List that has given rise to protests and demonstrations in Muslim countries.
This has caused the usual flag burning, marches, madness etc....
is it justified?
should it not be ignored? are we not repeating the mistake of Satanic Verses by giving him international media attention by our reaction?
or do Muslims have a right and duty to protest about ?
does the reaction again confirm muslims are reactionary, extreme, intolerant, too emotional, pathetic, violent and so narrow minded?
should we even give Rushdie any time of day?
have your say
wasalaaam

It wasn't a mere reference, and it was an exercise in the very thing of which you accused me. You did it then and subsequently, and it was nasty smearing. I don't think I have anything more to say on this thread so maybe if you do your next post will be on topic.

Stop whining and grow some. 😉

But true, in relation to your constant whine fest.
What you said to Showkat:
There are sneaky things in your post, and I am not sneaky and also see no requirement to take the bait.
How many times have you said that? Did Showkat start moaning?
What you said to me:
Your suggestion that there is perpetually something sneaky going on with me, incidentally, comparing me to a shoplifter, is so below the belt that I nearly didn't respond. It is the most despicable affront I have faced on the forums in quite a long time.
You know growing up most people come across that one person that always denies he is something or always says he is something. People always realise, some sooner than later that it is all lies! 😉

Biting my tongue I'll leave your comments aside. What Showkat did before I called him sneaky was to ask questions on the assumption that I'm Muslim which he knows I'm not, and the questions were of a nature that made clear his allegiance to Hizb ut-Tahrir, which in any event hates Jews, questions that I am not best placed to discuss.
It was a mere reference to people having the ability to make you focus on one thing whilst covering another up. 😉
