I think the way it goes is you can only wear the skin of an animal killed for food.

That site dfoes make it sound like they should be Islamically slaughtered, but on the other hand it seems to discourage any use of natural materials, even wool.

i always thought it was haram to wear any animal skin whether the animal has been slaughtered in the halal way or haram. Im assuming that your gonna buy the fur clothing from an english shop. Well if that is the case then the chances are that the animal has been killed delibertely in the name of fashion.

i just remember when i was in Syria, they had loads of crocodile handbags and stuff for sale. oopsy-daisy!

i wasn't planning to buy anyway. but, yeah it makes sense if its only allowed in necessity.

But throwing it away... would that not classed as wasteful?

and shoes? We all go for leather shoes I presume?

It's not. Otherwise you would be wasting the skin of the animal that was slaughtered for food.

i once brought some gloves that were made out of real sheep skin. I didnt even realise till my sister pointed it out. After that felt too guilty bought wearin them so chucked them out. So does that mean i have sinned by chuckin them out?

Besides I doubt sheep are killed just for their skin... I gather thye are mainly used for food.

yeh tru most sheepys r killed for food. Just the thought of wearin a fluffy white sheep on my hands was giving me nightmares so they just had to go lol

u don't have to kill a sheep to shave it

farmers shave their sheep every year when it gets warmer in the spring

I sometimes do wonder what would happen what would happen if for some reason we had to leave "society".

Could any of us survive in a world where everything was processed by others? Would we even know how to live?

i bearly struggle along living in the middle of a busy city!

i basically live on take-aways, bananas and breakfast cereal (after popping round the shops cos my milks gone off!)

i've lost count of the number of times i've gone to work with an un-ironed shirt (its ok in the winter cos i can keep my blazer on!)

when i first moved out was livin on takeaways and junk foos literally. With both uni n work didnt have tym to cook. Now that im off uni found the tym to cook. Its hard livin on your own you got to do everything yourself lol

I don't know why my Muslim Brothers & Sisters are confused about a Animal being Halal or Haram.

It's very very simple if a Animal is slaughtered and the name of Allah is recited before slaughter it is Halal. If the same kind of animal is slaughtered in the same manner and Allah is not recited then it is Haram. This only applies to Animals that are permissible in Islam.

If you are eating Animal rennet from a Animal Slaughtered without name of Allah recited it is haram for you if you are a Muslim unless the packaging states Halal meaning the Animal was slaughtered accordance to Islamic Law.

What about milk?
