Don't really believe in running. Unless it's to the bus when you're late!
Or footy, but not played that in weeks.

Sorry I know this post was done a couple of weeks ago but i only just stopped laughing, the Editor to run the Marathon, WOW...........hes a crazy guy is that Ed.
Anyway I think it is a really good idea not many muslims do enough of this sort of thing for charity, we should be encouraging the Ed but at the same time lets be realistic. I think the Ed should aim for a slightly smaller milestone, lets say the Bupa run that happens in manchester each year its a 10km run, i think he can manage that with a years training.
And you never know some of us may join him with a little gentle persuasion.
Anyway, i don't think it'll be practical or islamically allowed for sisters to run the marathon.
if they're modestly dressed i don't see why not? unless the marathon has a dress code which doesn't include 'modest dress'...

Listen, I'd be well up for it... if it wasn't outdoors, if it wasn't on the TV!!, if there weren't any guys and if I knew my Dad wouldn't break my legs.
i dont think there is anything wrong with women running the marathorn. Totally agree with Dust as long as we are modestly dressed dont see the problemo.

no offence guys
but muslims arent excatly well known for their high fitness levels
many are overweight and even the slim ones could never run 26 miles
I don't really think that is specific to muslims.

it is exclusive to asian muslims

But that's only 6 miles. That's nothing!!
You've got a whole year to train for it, you guys are such chickens! Lol.
It's still good though. :? Lol.
Surely more people are up for the 10km one? Don't forget it's for The Revival!!!

No not the gum drop buttons! – Gingy
I'm not saying he definitely would... I just think that's what he'd do, lol.
Coz he wouldn't approve. And that's it.
iz it cos u iz a girl
I thought that was obvious, but yeah, that's always got something to do with everything.
i suppose the high heels might start to hurt after the first few km...
Don't just do something! Stand there.
Yeah there is that too.
But then what's your lots excuse huh?
Yo Ed, you still doing this?
I might wanna do it too
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.
