Judgement Day
I have been thinking bout this more so than before, what does it mean for people to leave this world and be raised and be punished for their sins, how far away is judgement day?
How does it feel to know that on judgement day our sins will be revealed to everyone, including our parents, family etc..maybe we think right now, our creator is watching us but how embarrassing will it be to have Allah (swt) question us about our sins and the Holy Prophet ﷺ will be present there, he ﷺ who took so much pain and abuse from the kuffur to spread the word for his Ummah to come, he ﷺ who kept praying for his ummah’s forgiveness?
What are people’s thoughts about judgement day?

According to Imam Ghazzali there are two types of worshippers that worship God.
One type are those who are motivated by the blessings of paradise/fear of the hereafter
Such worshippers are likened to slave who ONLY serves his master because he will be paid at the end of the day...the slave who fears that if he messes up he will be punished by his master.
The second type of worshipper is the admirable worshipper who worships God for the sake of God.
Such worshippers are likened to the person who looks upon his beloved for the sake of the beloved, not because his beloved gives him silver and gold…..but because he seeks his Beloved’s pleasure, love and nearness.
An act of worship done for the love of Allah (swt) is a higher station than those acts done out of fear of hellfire/Day of Judgement.
This is a common understanding among scholars throughout the ages, including Imam al Ghazali.
This view does not belittle the fear of punishment, but it does assign a higher station to guiding ones conduct out of awe of God and a heightened sense of His majesty and greatness.
The zahid (ascetic) does what he does for no other reason than the pleasure and love of God. This is the highest action. In Islam, the essence of asceticism is lack of want.
Striving with the energy of hope is more exalted than being compelled by fear.

It is clearly said that those who do not believe in ALLAH and Rasoul Mohammed (PBAH) shall be sent to hell. This is why we say "ASH'HADU AN'NA LA ILAHA ILA L'LAH WA AN'NA MOHAM'MADAN RASOUL LA L'LAH) which says something like " I BELIEVE THERE IS NO OTHER GOD BUT AL'LAH AND THAT MOHAM'MAD IS HIS PROPHIT".

i think the worst thing could be.....me thinking i am living my life according to islam...but when judgement day comes (or death rather)...i find out i couldnt have been further from the truth???? (scary....)
