No, this is not a joke of some sort, King Abdullah of Jordan actually appeared in Star trek
Egyptian Blogger, Wael Abbas, posted this video exerpt of the popular American show Star Trek-Voyager (episode 35: Investigations - 1995 to be exact) . It shows King Abdullah, probably not king by then, playing a silent role as one of the crew members.
Impressive !! King Abdullah, a member in an American serial. But on second thought, aren't all the Arab rulers ?!

I like King Abdullah, he's a dentist, his whole practice is centered on perfecting the smile! Seems like a smart individual too... I like the Queen too, there was a panel hosted by Christiane Amanpour a little while ago that included her, President Clinton and a number of others but she really stood out as one of the sharper members. The topic was religious conflict, and it was interesting to see a middle eastern woman with such conservative - but progressive views.
I see he is creating a school in Jordan modeled after the Deerfield Academy. Deerfield HA! A bunch of snobbish know-nothings - they don't hold a candle to Andover.
He should be basing his school off Andover.
