i want a wii (they really need to change the name of the console!)
im usually a big sony fan, and was waiting for the ps3 .......and for a major price drop
but the wii has taken gaming to another level and made it more fun, its getting rave reviews and i seriously want it....its not even that expensive compared to its competitors.
maybe in the summer, it would be too distracting right now. but by summer i might want the ps3.....still not made my mind up!

The name wii isn't that bad, except for when you want to buy one and ask the person at the counter "can I have a wii please", I'm sure they'll understand :P.
I'm also a big sony fan and have the ps1 and ps2, and I think the ps3 is going to be alot better but the price is way too high and I think the xbox 360 has better graphics than the ps3. This is what gamespot have to say, "You'd think that the PS3 versions would be exactly the same or slightly superior to the Xbox 360 versions, since many of these games appeared on the 360 months ago, but it seems like developers didn't use the extra time to polish up the graphics for the PS3. We found that the Xbox 360 actually had better graphics in the majority of the games we compared."
Also at the moment it looks like the xbox 360 has better games than the ps3. If you can afford it then go for the ps3, if you can't then for the xbox 360. If you do buy the xbox 360 then buy a new one and not a second-hand one as the earlier consoles have hardware problems. Wii is much cheaper but has rubbish games, and if you have a small room it wouldn't be ideal to play your wii in it as you will have to move around......alot!
360 has been out a year. The developers have had a year to figure out the nooks and crannies of the system. with th PS3 it is not the case.
In the future who knows which will have beter graphics.
But the Sony pads are utter turd. dual shock or sixaxis. both are have poor ergonomics.

Normally the trash is discounted, the decent stuff the same price.
So I just don't bother. Hence me buying things before the 'sales' started. Just checked the prices today, now that the 'January sales! Massive savings!' banners are up, and the prices are still the same!

Better to look for end-of-season discounts from mid-January. I have always done pretty well in House of Fraser.
