As I understand it, if there is a risk of the woman getting 'unwanted attention' from guys then she should have her mehram with her. If there is no risk its okay not to have the mehram there.

aye dave, there is a dissertation - but i didnt opt for it....i saw how Beast did it last minute, as well as half the nation, and i thought i would rather do 2 extra modules! so in total.....6 exams, 6 assignments this year
