NO TOPIC

You

Well This is the new No Topic Topic. 😛

For those who do not know, this place is to talk about nothing. Nada. Zilch. And everything else which according to you does not deserve it's own topic.

The other one was getting a bit long, and was just full of bickering now.

So we have a new start.

The bickering in the Old no topic should not be carried over to here.

EDIT - go to NO TOPIC the Third.

9 year olds do not study algebra....
well then arabic numerals...
Sis, I need to link it to the primary National Curriculum somehow…its not just about teaching anything to do with Islam in math’s….Arabic numerals, or numerals in any other language is not part of the math’s curriculum……the only reason why I chose “surveys” cos primary pupils often do surveys on “eye colour, favourite pet, number of brothers/sisters in their class/years etc” and they tally their results and present the info in graphs/pie charts etc…..I can link it to ICT as then they can present their findings on graphs choosing the right programme….

Do you also share Beast's concerns?

Which type is she?

Theres two types; one that controlled by pills and food and the other by daily injections.

My grandma has the first type and she still fasts... even tho at her age... and in her condition medically i wouldnt recommend it... but she still does it... bless her.

Noor — Sat, 23 Sep 2006 - 23:29

she has to take her insulin everyday so she cant fast as she has to eat sumthing or she'll have a hypo.

If a person is considered to be terminally ill and there is no cure and so are not capable of fasting then they should give charity instead.

It is established from the Qur’an that feeding the poor is an expiation for those unable to fast.

I read that it's 3.5 lbs. of wheat or its value in cash to charity for each missed day.

Insulin is commonly injected by patients with type 1 diabetes. In the Hanafi school, injections do not invalidate the fast in any way. The fast is invalidated when anything enters the body cavity, which is why injections do not invalidate the fast.

Don't know whether or not you're aware of this but there were two types of Arabic numerals, the eastern set and the western set.

The eastern set is today's arabic and urdu numerals.

The western set is literally today's English/standard numerals.

childhood etc is a blessing. Don't knock it. At the same time remember that you can get away with breaking the rules. It makes things easier.

and if anyone asks, that is NOT any advice I gave you.

zara — Mon, 25 Sep 2006 - 18:56

you should not have said that...

zara — Mon, 25 Sep 2006 - 18:59

u any good at simultaneous equations?

You — Mon, 25 Sep 2006 - 19:48

Its not a good idea to get others to do your homework!

Thing with maths is the more you do it, the easier it gets.

thanks.
if the sign is negative and you multiply by a positive, is the answer negative or positive?
also, when you have the same sign for the equations, do you add or subtract?
