Dreams

Seraphim

Dreams are broken into three parts according to the Sunnah:

Ru'yaa - good visions (dreams)

Hulum - bad dreams

Dreams from one's self

Abu Hurayrah narrated Muhammad (S) said, "There are three types of dreams: a righteous dream which is glad tidings from Allah, the dream which causes sadness is from Shaitan, and a dream from the ramblings of the mind."

The prophet (pbuh) also said we should disclose good and true dreams to the people we like, however advised against disclosing bad dreams to anyone.

We know dreams occur during the REM (rapid eye movement) part of sleep. If however you were to awake during this REM stage you are more likely to remember your dreams.
It is believed that we dream to exercise the synapses, or pathways, between brain cells, and that dreaming takes over where the active and awake brain leaves off.

Do our dreams open a doorway to our very souls and subconscious minds?

Are we recieving messages from Allah (swt)?

Or are they the ramblings of a littered mind?

I don't even see the point in interpreting them!

if stuff is gonna happen, it's gonna happen. having prior knowledge is not gonna change a thing.

Medarris — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 01:19

Muhtarama Seema. Yes ppl will dabble but my concern is only to explain what I think is right and best. if people follow it or not thats not my concern really.

I convinced someone!! Alhamdulillah. ALL praise is due to ALLAH.

star — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 01:20
Med i get totally what you are saying - you've convinced me. People he has a convincing argument dont you think?

But Med still wont stop people from dabbling
after all he is from aloo rock!!

Medarris — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 01:25

listen. Aloo is a a potato, its a thing girls like you should be peeling in the kitchen. I come from Alum rock. in urdu spelt same as urdu word Aalam. so if u want to be pakyish then call it aalam rock. nothing to do with potato.

maseebat

Man alive! But I wish you weren't.

Medarris — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 01:32

Y'know what I think. I think Muhtarama actually likes alum rock but for some reason she is pretending to not like it. I mean we all know about women and shops dont we? and alum rock is full of shops especially ones with lenghas and churiyan and kusse etc.

So I think Muhtarama secretly gets proper happy when she is in alum rock but tries to act like she dont like it. Dont worry. I aint gonna tell any1.

you do realise that supposedly the restaurant is the second (legit) business?

brother I strongly advise silence on this issue. I do not wish to read about anything which has no basis. If you have evidence solid then go to the cops, otherwise I dont think its good to just pass on info that just goes around.

Personally I was told. i just ignored it and I dont believe it until I see some proof. Jealousy is a strong emotion and so is envy. Like I mentioned in a previous thread, Islam says judge by what is apparent. I met one of the brothers, I seen the restauran I judge on what is apparent and I only saw good in them. Hence I believe they are good. All I can say is that they dont serve alcohol and turn people away if they come drunk or try bringing in alcohol. And for an establishment to do that is a good thing. I have only respect for them and dont listen to rumours until someone either givees me proof, otherwise put up and shutt up (referring to rumour mongers, not u admin.)

why wats the rumors?!

Medarris — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 13:06

I refuse to propagate rumours and lies and slanders. So I shall maintain silence. I only know good about the people and I only say good about them.

You — Sun, 2 Oct 2005 - 17:16

I shall keep my mouth shut aswell.

but it aint that hard to find out. Its common knowledge.

At the same time I will not defend Mumtaz.

Not related, but what is that restaurant in manchester called, when confronted by horizons (I think it was them) about haraam food, they replied they never said it was halaal in the first place? Later they retracted that statemtne, saying it is halaal. Or it may be another rumour.
