cool how long did you do boxing for shaz?
i hope you manage to do some military style training inshallah! if you do manage then it will still fall under martial arts as martial arts translates as war(warrior) arts 😉
"archery, swimming, and horse riding" etc falls under this category if thats whats it's intended for 😉
some of the Sahabah's we're pretty good at wrestling, archery etc even before their acceptance of Islam.
I hope inshallah you manage to persue this training

salams Naz,
i am a martial arts instructor i have been teaching martial arts for years. i have been training in martial arts for a long time. quwwa is a martial art(kung fu) system which i formulated and teach to others. i taught in birmingham for about 2years but now teach again in london where i'm from.
there is one brother who i have taught in birmingham who is very good but he is not taking on students.
there is a brother however who teaches in birmingham central mosque i have never personally met him but i know he teaches kung fu. i heard that they also run sisters classes as well.
inshallah i hope you find a good school to learn from!
