Quote:
Closest station is Small Heath Station. It's on the same road as the mosque. You should be able to see the mosque as you come out of the station - it's on the other side of the roundabout.

Small Heath Station takes trains from Birmingham Moor Street. No trains go from Manchester to Moor Street as far as I can tell - so you'd have to walk from New Street Station to Moor Street. 2 min walk.

Are you coming down?

Cheerz. Is there any other way? want to know all the possibilities

so i defo train it to new street station?

last time we got on a bus....

Inshallah definitely going to be there for this, but your gone by then arent you?

I may inshallah be here on saturday too, Shaykh Yakoubi will be there and i know a few of his mureeds going down, gona try getting a lift

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

This event is for ALL scholars/ulama, regardless of what jamaat they are from or what background. therefore i hope you all could send your local imams this invitation please, and let them decide if they want to go or not.

It will inshallah be inspiring and very beneficial in gaining knowledge.

It is mainly for scholars and ulama, however it is open to public too, and you are all invited Smile

see ya there

You could catch a bus after you get off at New Street but that would be too complicated and a bit dearer. Last time we got the bus because I didn't realise Small Heath station was so close to the mosque. Now I know. It's very close.

I'll be gone by the 28th. But I have'nt got my visa sorted yet so you never know! Wink

I'll be there Saturday. Gonna try and take some pics with me little camera.

The topic for tommorow, I found out just now, is Islamophobia. Here's some more info:
Sheikh Sayid Muhammad al-Yacoubi will be attending

Thanks for the directions Beast, made getting around b'ham easy!

birmingham i dont like, but thhe 3 day event was Alhamdulillah EXCELLENT

the aqeedah of Imam Bukhari was made evident, and the aqeedah of the Ahle Sunnah in light of hadith's from Sahih Bukhari

Ghamkol shareef mosque was packed out for all 3 days, and people came from pakistan, holland, spain, ireland, and all over uk....there were also many bengali ulama present Alhamdulillah! one of the guests was Shaykh Ul Hadith Habib Ur Rehman from bangladesh, who has taught over 800 Bengali ulama....of which, quite a lot were present and took ijaza from Shaykh Ul Islam!!

the lectures were inspiring, had people buzzing, and were next level.

Nice to hear I was of some use.

Really wish I could have been there.

That 3 day camp was amazin, i took like 50 pages of A4 notes even though I didn't understand all of it, the best lect/camp I have ever been to, Shaykh-ul-Islam covered tawussul/intercession/bidah etc by using proof from the most authentic book after Quran - Sahih Bukhari, wow!

Med.....how was it different? how long did you sit down for? or literally in and out?

sat for a bit - probably 15/20 mins.

doesnt matter. im happy for whoever enjoyed it - was very entertaining I agree.

It certainly was entertaining, loved the way Shaykh-ul-Islam clarified misconceptions, impossible for anyone to disagree as it was proven by Imam Bukhari's Sahih Bukhari Sharif....subhanallah on Imam Bukhari's Aqeedah.

Lets not get into Imam Bukharis aqeedah - leave it to the "shaykh ul islams". mashaALLAH.

Stop tryin to act clever Med, I don't care for your comments and that above post wasn't for your benefit.

Yup.

you responded to my questions...now shoo

IF you actually were so concerned about our aqeedah and our ways, you would have sat down longer, with some respect and listened to Shaykh Ul Islam...........rather than tryna get answers from folks on forums.

your a student of islam apparently, you should know these arent tha places to debate.

I myself a shia along with our alims (graduated from Iran) listened Dr. Tahir Ul Qadri lectures very carefully and compared them from SahihBukhari. We all think that he is a true lover of Muhammad and Ahly-bait.

He is doing a right job but please try to explain that to others like Salafi and Wahabi.
