I havent voted either.

I don't agree with much of what he said/did when he was on here...but at the same time, I don't believe that a "good Muslim" should oppose people’s apologies and willingness to reform and better their ways.

interesting one.. censorship or anything goes..

i reckon, anything goes is the way to go.. the more u restrict people the less they're likely to express themselves truly.

yeh sometimes things get outa hand.. thats the beauty of it.. there's things that have been said in here, that wuda resulted in violence in real life, but everyones protected by their sense of 'anonymity'.. so its all good.

i think something you could do admin, is write up a few guidelines on diversity of opinion and respect in general. something tight, yet easy to sink into our minds. and if anyone breaks those guidelines, the mods then refer them to it.. if they agree, they stay, if they don't agree, then they go..

grudges.. i really aint got time for them these days.. got better things to worry about,.. i dunno its just how I wanna look at life.. in regards to the forum my words arn't perfect,.. neither are anyone else's words.. if anyone thinks different.. well thats their opinion 😂

apologies yeh.. u can't tell someone to apologise.. its gotta come from the heart. Getting med to apologise to Angel as a condition before lettin him back in is pointless.. now if he did it out of his own sincerety and free will.. it holds value, no, not in everyones eyes.. but those who have put their heads down in humility know what i'm talking about..

Peace people I love you all 😃 No really I do.. 😃

wise words there.

Regarding an apology, I would npot demand one. Simply put he meant what he said when he said it.

If he has any regrets its more likely about being 'punished' for saying those things.

Saying sorry is easy. But that does not mean you mean it.

As the topic of Med, I think that is over (welkl two people say they have not voted/decided yet... apart from them its basically over.), and inshallah I will decide soon.

Regarding rules, once again its dificult. If you bend them once, you are loathe to bend them again.

There are many many times 'Ed (and occasionally others) have demanded someone be banned. I do not really see it as something that is worthwile. Granted we will get immature people. but turning them away is not the correct thing to do IMO.

I just want views on censorship in general, and what is the correct tack to take. I am less on here than I used to be, so it'll be the Mods who take it forward, and maybe use it as guidance instead of rules.

But simply put, the rules should be:

1. No personal insults.
2. No sectarian discussions. No attacks or insult on any religion, or religious group.
3. No rude, lewd or indecent behaviour.
4. No spamming, no pestering of members.
5. Try to keep topics on the subject.
6. Try not to have too many simultaneous active threads with the same topic being discussed.
7. Screennames must be decent, and acceptable by the Forum Police.

Just as simple as that.

The problam is I can feel a hypocrite when 'Ed himself never follows, and never will follow rule number 1. He rarely has a positive discussion where the actual points are commented on. He will rather belittle the people with that stance.

Now that I find enfuriating, as there is only one person here I should not have to moderate!

what absolute rubbish admin...and im surprised dust agrees with that.....

i do follow rules
i dont insult
i criticise
i analyse
i agree/ disagree
but no personal insults
when med and co insult and humiliate what i stand for i dont sit there like some do....thats not me....

if anyone says summat i disagree i counter argue, i challenge, i argue....not insult

admin....dont worry about me.... u dont have to moderate me

y dont u let med back... then everyone will be so happy.... i'll stay away for a while...lets see how it goes...deal?

Sirus — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 19:00

lol....ed, i love you and all....but they got a point

i too get annoyed at the stuff med says, but then you resort to insults...which is pretty funny watching from here 😂

and now ur acting like a baby....its me or him 😛

the forum is dry and boring right now, and has been for the past few months

everyone is too scared to talk about anything, and rather talk about a load of jibberish

bring him back i say!

You — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 19:00

you seem hurt!

Unbanned him.

Lets see how this goes.

(Ten points to the first Mod that bans him!)

You — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 19:22

Walaikum Salaam

Remember to be polite, follow the rules.

Needless to say there are no more warnings, chances, temporary bans etc.

and welcome back. I think.

You — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 19:55

Gotta say, between sending the email, and your reappearance there was a period of time. Of about 30 seconds.

So a few people have asked previously, and now is the appropriate time.

Why did you wanna come back?

I am really interested.

Medarris — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 20:11

I didnt really really really want to come back - I just wanted to come back at a normal level.

Reason? Well as some of you people know I'm on two other forums aswell now but they didnt have the same lazzat as revival. No1 humoured me as much as you, none were humoured by me as much as you.

Dunno - is that answer good enuf?

And the reason is cos I was already on messenger chatting to someone so hence got an email alert pretty quick. Dont want any1 thinking I was sitting on tenterhooks waiting for an email.

Hows my good friend Ed?

laila — Sun, 11 Jun 2006 - 20:54

I'm 19 and I don't consider myself to be young.

Is everyone old in here 😂

lol yea I guess we're all ancient now... My mother in law still calls me and my wife "the kids." It's a little bit demeaning publicly sometimes...

Weird that so many of us have been getting married or are getting married this past and upcoming year though. I think it's the first time I really noticed I'm definitely getting older...

*DUST* — Mon, 12 Jun 2006 - 08:46
...and im surprised dust agrees with that....
sorry Ed, but like it or not you are similar to Med in one way: you both strongly adhere to your views and are not very open to change (which is obviously why you don't get on).

because you feel so strongly about certain topics, instead of addressing people's points, you attack them by 'grouping' them all together e.g. khan, yuit, med etc. seem to be one and the same to you.

*DUST* — Mon, 12 Jun 2006 - 08:47
