Planning Ahead
Salaam
How organised are you? Are you into diaries, planners, to do lists, intentions before you go and do something?
I mean are you the type that always plans ahead? Do you always iron your clothes for work/Uni the night before?
Do you always have essays/articles typed up well before the deadline? Do you spend days/weeks/months studying for exams/interviews?
Are you the type whose mobile /electric toothbrush etc never goes dead because you always charge when the battery is half?
If you had to go somewhere special would you have decided what you’re going to wear days before the occasion?
Do you go as far as planning your life? For e.g you know where you’d be/should be in a year’s time?
I’m a sad perfectionist like that…planning and organising in advance is so important for me….every night before I sleep I usually quickly go over what I need to do the next day….if I have to do a lot, I sometimes write a list.
Do you think that planning is a waste of time? Are you the type that leave’s everything to Allah (swt) and always hopes for the best?
Do you have a focus/intention and sense of direction in most things in life? Or are you the time that just muddles through life and deals with things as they come?
Does planning ahead manifest lack of trust in Allah (swt)?
Any advantages/disadvantages of being OTT organised or spontaneous?
Wasalaam

Some mates of mine screwed up a question in sociology because they didn't know what the word 'turnover' meant....they hit themselves after the exams when I told them.
u have to mention certain studies carried out by certain pysychologists and stuff
I'm always thinking why couldn't there be just one psychologist for a theory (e.g. Freud for the psychodynamic theory) so people could have less to revise and evaluate.

How far or how much can one plan ahead?
Its scary and comforting at times (depending on how you look at it)...that we can plan as much as we want....but ultimately whatever happens is up to the Greatest of All Planners.
Of course, this doesnt meant that we should become fatalistic and sit back...but that we need to increase our level of trust and dependency on Allah (swt).

i suppose, as with everything else, moderation is the key. 🙂 plan to some extent, but dont expect it all to work out that way.
do an intro, give an opinion-describe it -then evaluate it -paragraph 1 , do another couple of paragraphs like this and then do an conclusion
thats pretty much what we'd for English Lit papers - intro, paragraphs of PEE-ing  and then the conclusion.
psychology is completely different though because u have to mention certain studies carried out by certain pysychologists and stuff. but another good point nas made is that the type of question (the answer expected for it) is always made clear in the question itself so make sure u read it properly, sounds straightforward enough but i know i've made stupid mistakes coz i didnt read the Q thoroughly.
