Love

Love..how can one define it? What kinds of love are there, ie worldy love, true love etc?

I personally believe that one has different kinds of love for their parents/siblings,partners..but what about the love for Allah (swt) and the Holy Prophet (saw), isn't this love pure and true love as there are no conditions or limit from the love we receive from Allah (swt) and the Holy Prophet (saw).

I have heard Allah (swt) has divided love into 100 parts of which 1/100 is for the people of this world for each other and 99/100 is Allah’s (swt) love for his people! Doesn’t that alone show how high and true this kind of love is and that this worldly love is something small and will cease to exist once we die???

come on admin, you should have gathered by now that this weirdo is incapable of growing up, to him it seems everyone is "dumb" but we just have to let him know that not everyone is like him, fortunately!

heh, I should just add 'dumb' to the banned words list 😛

That'll teach him and many others!

Please lets not talk about banning things. This is all about love. There should be no talk of hatred here. Speak only love.

And in love, nothing is forbidden.

Admin, banning insults is like forcing cashpoints to hand it over. Sometimes they gotta tell you to shove off for the sake of balance.

When one sincerely loves another with a pure heart, its not cos of their looks, or their bank balance, or their occupation….its not cos of the amount of knowledge they may possess…..its not even cos of the amount of fasts they may keep or nights they may spend awake worshipping Allah (swt).

But is cos of they way they ARE….their nature, the way they behave, the way they interact with other, the way they are there for others, their manners etc

Nothing touches ones heart more then beautiful disposition of another.

One’s good character wins the love of Allah (swt) and others.

not really Garfield

aint u heard "love is blind"

this is why girls stay with good for nothing guys and claim that they "love them" even if the guy is treating them like crap

Seraphim — Tue, 19 Jul 2005 - 18:27

Love may be blind, but its course never ran smooth.

There are always trials and tribulations on the way and unfortunately alot of people just fall at the first few trials and never get back up again.

MuslimSisLilSis — Tue, 19 Jul 2005 - 22:42

dont get sidetracked garfield

retract ur silly statement when u said that "one flaw drives people apart"

Those who love each other, do not see each others shortcomings.

One only looks for something to criticise when one is not yet in love.

Where there is TRUE love, there are no flaws.

True love is not blind.

Of course two people in love can see each others shortcomings...but they can still love one another despite these flaws.

Sort of like the way a mother can unconditionally love her child, despite knowing that her child many flaws in his/her character.

I think true love is blind.

Or, at least it makes you blind.

If you are have not been blinded, then you have not yet seen the true light, in its full intensity.

If you have not tasted the wine, you have not yet lost the love of the world.
