Your Pants Are On Fire..

The Holy Prophet ﷺ said “Whatever of the lower garment is below the ankles is in the Fire.”

What exactly does that mean?

I don’t know much about this and I’ve never bothered to find out about it either …after all this ruling doesn’t effect me. But in a couple of months time I’ll be teaching younger boys Islamic Studies….so I thought I’d try to look up some “boyish” topics.

From what I’ve seen (with my gaze lowered :? )…some guys are very strict about rolling up their trousers, whilst others are not…

According to the different schools of thoughts…is it Fard, Wajib, Sunnah Mukadah to do so?

Don’t worry I will ask a scholar soon…but I’m too busy atm to make my way down to my Mosque.

Some say that it’s only wrong if one does this out of arrogance like the Arabs used to…others claim that there is no condition on this ruling.

I apologise if this topic is already being discussed in the boys only thread.

I had this argument with some brother yesterday at library[/quote]

Regarding the length of your trousers? What was he saying?

well... all what he was accusing me of trying to change Islam and may be make "modernised".... he says that it has been mentioned in a hadith, so we should follow no matter what.....the prophet knows better and if he knew that the situation will change he wouldn’t of said it……

and to be honest I didn’t give that much attention… cause I hate it when someone tells me to do something…he/she isn’t doing!!!
