Avoid buses... if your traveling up and down the country either get a plane ride or go first class in a train (nothing short of first class... you dont want to know what happens in economy... and first class dont cost that much either) dont drink anything other than bottled water (unopened bottle water watch out for this as its a huge trick all over the country) try not to say anything at all in public since you dont speak a word of urdu they'll spot you as a foreigner a mile off and they will try to rip you off. Watch out for beggers... its like a business over there... if you give to one you'll end up giving to 50. Watch out for freshies turning up @ your house never seen before putting pressure on your mom+dad to hitch u with some pindu (im assuming you're staying/visitng relies?).

Other than that... take in the scenery, do some shopping, go to the beach (one of the better out of the way ones... cant remember what it was called) take the time to meet some of the relies... and come back and tell us all about it... i enjoy our little chats.

She going to Karachi... its always warm there no matter what time of the year. Coz its near the ocean it tends to bring in the warm weather. If she goes further up in the country then she will need wollys. Lilsis are you going anywhere other than Karachi?

Just remember to watch what you eat there. If anything taste's odd or second rate refuse to eat it. Its better to be a lil hungry than to fall ill in Pakiland. My brother fell ill and he had to have an injection... and it WASNT IN HIS ARM!! I think you can guess where he had to have it. lol

Safe journey... comeback in one piece.

ive already told back home to clear out the fringe

Madam LilSis is bringing Evian water with her Dirol

i cant afford to get ill there-im only going for 2 weeks and i have bare shoppin to do

You can get bottled water from Pakistan too you know.

And Evian spelt backwards is naive.

But what happens to ppl who dont drink bottled water and can only live on scottish tap water (they dehydrate Sad )

so just karachi then?

the nestle water there is perfectly fine and widely available

i always end up with stomach probs there, im telling ya....be careful what you eat....and personally, stay away from KFC Lol

And the nestle water. Nestle products full stop.

I went to Morrocco. It was nice and relaxing. People were nice. History was rich but I'd rather go to Turkey. History there is amazing.

I so badly want to get away on holiday somewhere…and feel as if I deserve to do so. I want to celebrate the end of my student years.

I want to get out of rainy England…keep away from Europe (as that just reminds me of England) and go abroad somewhere for the Summer holidays….and I do NOT want to go to Pakistan.

My friends are going to Spain, Italy, USA, Egypt etc…and just listening to them is getting me restless.

I’ve sent for a new passport, cos my old one is expired. As soon as I get it back…I’ll start to look for places to go.

Anyone going anywhere nice this year?

already been but gonna save up an inshallah next year maybe go Italy or Morocco. I really wanna go Dubai but its too expensive.

i MIGHT go to morocco this year.

my ex-roommate is staying there for around three months over the summer. His uncle is a foreign ambassador there and so he has a swimming pool, cook, driver etc etc all in a gigantic house with something like 20 guest rooms!

me and about 10 brothers hope to stay with him for a long w'end. flights are quite cheap by easyjet, then once we're there everytning would be payed for, insha'Allah

Don't just do something! Stand there.

I'm going to Umrah this year!!! Biggrin Biggrin Biggrin

Marshallah. My mum wanted the whole fam to go Hajj but im just not ready. I always think that once you have done Hajj you should change your ways.

Hajj could be that very change for you. If you have the chance, go for it. You may not get this opportunity again.

true true but my mum only saying it coz she think she gonna pop her clogs soon (she always thinks of the worst) and she wants to do it for her dead dad as well who never got the opportunity.
plus Hajj is very costly and theres 8 of us including my parents.

i flew monarch to spain a couple of months ago and, yeah it was pretty terrible. although i don't mind flying in a tin-can with wings on if its such a short journey. i'm a bit like a snake cos i always manage to curl up into a ball and get to sleep in the smallest of spaces, even tho i'm 6'1", cos i'm REALLY skinny!

i have trouble in cars, on buses, in cinemas and theatre and many other places because they were not designed for people with such long legs as me...many i should become a size 0 model...
