Birth of the Prophet (pbuh)

The month of Rabbi ul Awwal is almost amongst us....

the month the holy prophet ﷺ was born...

is it another month Muslims argue whether celebrating his birth is allowed or bidah?

or are we going to get something out of this month?

isnt it the perfect time to highlight to the world how great the prophet ﷺ was especially after the cartoon issue?

I have to disagree.

If you dont care about this Eid then it does make you love the Prophet less.

did i suggest that expressly?

nope....i only have problems with those who say its wrong, haraam or biddah

and yes Alhamdulillah this month always proves to be a month whereby we learn more about the Beloved Nabi ﷺ

you're talking your usual codswollop again
please always back up your points with sound evidence
mawlid celebrations are permissible but not fardh or waajib.... so no sin if you dont celebrate in that month or on 12th of rabbi ul awwal...
its an issue of ikhtilaaf
some people try to follow and practise the teachings of the prophet 24/7, not remember him more just on one day or one month

yes classical scholars have clearly stated permissibilty of mawlid, anyone who says it is haram, wrong, bad bidah is contradicting 1000 years of classic scholars.
but no classic scholar has said its compulsory

alot of ppl who do make it compulsory are ill informed of the texts of quran and sunnah and its legal ruling.

I half disagree, i beleive it increases love as you learn a lot more about the prophet in this month. And, the more you learn, the more you come to love the prophet s.a.w.

I think its better to make time and intention for the Mehfils in this month, because their is more Barakat in mehfils than alone, and it counts as religeous struggle to make it to the mehfil (or if yoyu're hosting it, then presumably preparing for it too.).

As for Mehfils commemorating and celebrating The Blessed Birth of The Holy Prophet SAW, rather than a mehfil for another reason, well I believe that as this is the month of The Prophet SAW birth, we shpuld use it for Zhikr of The Prophet SAW.
