my mates taken a turn for the worse again. nothing seems to get his mood up - he will act normal for a while, even smiles and jokes, then suddenly after a few days out of the blue he stops and stares at something and tears well up in his eyes.
help him.

:? guest, how can we 'help him' if
a) we do not personally know him, and
b) we do not know the cause of his mood swings/depression.
we might at least be able to suggest things to u if we knew the answer to b). what exactly happened to your friend to make him go like this?

girl problems.

he knows all about relying on Allah and making dhikr and being patient. and he will even be normal for a few days like i mentioned, then suddenly he will stop in mid-conversation and stare at something at you see his eyes fill with tears. what can be said to make him not like this? he knows all the religious stuff so what else?

Mr. Guest your friend is having emotional problems, if you havenβt already figured. Even the strongest in faith have fallen for temptation- remind him to lower his gaze and if the girl is a Muslim, tell him imagine if that was his own sister or mother would he still have lustful feelings?
Thatβs my short piece, wait for the sisters to reply.
advice/help line
i take it the girl dont feel the same way about him, or obstacles in his/her way of getin together?
advice/help line
its not important how the girl feels. it cant happen. he just needs to get a grip but he cant or wont. i think he trying to get over it, do the right thing, and thats hard enough for him, but on top ever other day his close family are taunting him and threatening him about shaming himself and the family. all this when he has done and is trying to do the right thing.

how can you put such big sorrows in it?

What age is he? If he old enough he should take a break from the people around him. Its not easy but all he can do is ignore the people around him but above all keep faith in Allah (swt) cuz He does what is best for us.
Also as a friend you can keep him occupied ie goin out/chilling with him etc.
Did he contact the helpline again?

Love is a gift that God has gifted Mankind with. It is what makes life enjoyable and joyful. Those that haven't tasted true love (not talking about teenage lust) areβ¦.., well, u just gotta fell sorry for them.
Now I have had a few close friends experience girl problems. (something we should all stay well clear of) It broke them completely. In Islam we are supposed to get married as soon as we mature (no time for messing around) is that not the best way to do things? There is alot of free mixing now and people generally get married later on, thats just a recipe for disaster...thats why you see so many people doing things improperly, this ultimately ends in disaster and people end up hurt, and trust me its gonna hurt BAD. ...is it worth it? Treading on any path other than the way of our Prophet will cause untold misery (You will only end up hurting yourself - though these paths may seem tempting). Is it worth it?
True Love is a blessing and true love comes from following the commands of our Lord - the Loving, and following the commands of our Beloved Prophet (Saws), love for everything (your near and dear ones) falls under this.

aww dont laugh. cynicism isn't a good thing.
sorry guest, i'd had just about enuf of girl-guy problems recently among my own friends...
if ur friend really has trust in Allah, he should know that at the end of the day Allah has destined someone for him, he just has to be patient and God-fearing till then. there's no point in him bashing his head over summat he cant change.
and tell him to keep his gaze lowered - such problems could be avoided if guys and gals just followed this simple instruction in the Quran.

some good advice from everyone.
he doesnt have anything to do with the girl now. no contact whatsoever. i told him that whatever he is feeling time is a great healer and over time he will feel better. and like i said before he behaves normally for a bit but i know him since forever and he is just putting it on.
he laughs his head off at times, was always a smiler and still smiles loads but still i KNOW its only on top. tbh he thought himself that over time he would forget about her or remember her less but thats not happened.
basically its been a while now since he has had no contact with her, but still he cant/wont forget her. he stares suddenly at random things like a bar of chocolate and tears well up, or when he looks at his fone. i think the things that remind him of her are what do this - but how does he get over it if literally it could be anything that reminds him of her?
advice/help line
You are talking about yourself? right?
Its all chemicals. In the teenage years, after watching too much bollywood/hollywood, most people are erm... mentally unbalanced.
Its got nothing to do with time really, but age. apparently everyone is in total love at the age of 16....
You (or your friend) are becoming an adult, and its a turbulent time. and everyone needs time to think.
Do not worry. Things will either work out, or not. Nothing you can do. Its just life. Totally unfair, but Allah (swt) will not burden you with more than you can carry, and He (swt) knows your limits.
So just be satisfied. Nowt to worry about really.
advice/help line
yeh, your rite. dont know what hes worrying about.
its alright, his going to sort his problem out and put an end to it. thanks a lot.

no contact whatsoever will help ur mate get over her
and ur mate needs to keep busy-tell him to get a job or sumin
if he has too much free time on his hands he'll be a love sick romeo for a LONG time
