oh lol, i think the comic book first came out in the 1960s... and i ges thats the answer to ur second question - there's been an ongoing interest in it ever since.

x-men is very deep.

I watched it as a kid.

Then when i found out when older that it was really a thesis on racism I gave it some respect.

And the movies were cool. I think I need to delete Seraph's post before I choose character...
