Bin Laden offers Americans truce
In an audio tape broadcast on Aljazeera, Osama bin Laden has warned that al-Qaida was preparing an attack very soon, but also offered Americans a “long-term truce”.
“The new operations of al-Qaida has not happened not because we could not penetrate the security measures. It is being prepared and you’ll see it in your homeland very soon,” the voice attributed to bin Laden said, apparently addressing Americans.
But the voice on the tape, which appeared to be aimed at the American public, also offered a truce: “We do not mind establishing a long-term truce between us and you.”
The tape, broadcast on Thursday but dated to December last year, comes after a year of silence from the al-Qaida leader.
“This message is about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and how to end those wars,” it began.
“It was not my intention to talk to you about this, because those wars are definitely going our way.
“But what triggered my desire to talk to you is the continuous deliberate misinformation given by your President [George] Bush, when it comes to polls made in your home country which reveal that the majority of your people are willing to withdraw US forces from Iraq.
Americans want peace
“We know that the majority of your people want this war to end and opinion polls show the Americans don’t want to fight the Muslims on Muslim land, nor do they want Muslims to fight them on their (US) land.
“But Bush does not want this and claims that it’s better to fight his enemies on their land rather than on American land.
“Bush tried to ignore the polls that demanded that he end the war in Iraq.
“We are getting increasingly stronger while your situation is getting from bad to worse,” he told the US, referring to poor US troop morale and the huge economic losses inflicted by the war.
“The war in Iraq is raging and the operations in Afghanistan are increasing.”
Truce offer
“In response to the substance of the polls in the US, which indicate that Americans do not want to fight Muslims on Muslim land, nor do they want Muslims to fight them on their land, we do not mind offering a long-term truce based on just conditions that we will stick to.
“We are a nation that Allah banned from lying and stabbing others in the back, hence both parties of the truce will enjoy stability and security to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan, which were destroyed by war.
“There is no problem in this solution, but it will prevent hundreds of billions from going to influential people and warlords in America - those who supported Bush’s electoral campaign - and from this, we can understand Bush and his gang’s insistence on continuing the war.”
Addressing Americans again, he said: “If your desire for peace, stability and reconciliation was true, here we have given you the answer to your call.”
Bin Laden, who had not been heard of since a 27 December 2004 audiotape in which he anointed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraq’s most wanted man, as al-Qaida’s leader in Iraq, also said his network was winning the war against the US.
“I would like to tell you that everything is going to our advantage and the number of your dead is increasing, according to Pentagon figures.”
Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s deputy, said in a September videotape that his leader was still alive and leading the jihad against the West.

lol another bin Laden truce.
I love this guy - it's like he thinks we're joking or we're going to be talked out of this or something.
Besides - the truce has always been there, all he needs to do is round up his buddies and surrendur in unison to any number of the US military bases that have sprung up around him and that's that!
End o conflict.
It's interesting how he talks about public opinion polls. As if by offering a truce he is helping Bush's poll numbers.
Come to think of it, 9/11 helped Bush's poll numbers too...
I have no doubt he's interested in seeing this war protracted as long as possible - he's fully aware the US military is equipped for quick destructive strikes and not long term protracted wars.
As long as Bush is in office and benefits from expanding the war bin Laden benefits.
Furthermore with a destructive US presence he can solidify his Islamic base around an "us v them" strategy.
However bin Laden is blinded by his hatred of the US and doesn't seem to understand that we can (and present are) adapt(ing), militarily he cannot win.
As for solidifying an Islamic base - who knows, in some places they entertain the blasphemous idea he is the Mahdi, in others he is well hated and in still others there is a timid embrace.
We cannot ignore the fact that he is probably the most popular figure in the Islamic world - how solid that is I don't know.
I wonder what he will do if we don't catch him before Bush is gone?
Presidential prospects for next year are very intelligent responsible people - McCain and Warner are two big names floating around. Everyone knows McCain but Warner is a real gem too (democrat) he's the gov. of Virginia and a really solid intelligent guy.
Bin Laden would have to change course with the public, I wonder if he is that dynamic.
I'm sure hell be in a body bag before then though, we've got good men on him - just a matter of time really.
He'll be burning in hell before november 08
Dave, you keep saying the US will kill bin Laden.
But Bush doesn't seem to be talking like that at all. Since the end of the Afghan war, Bush's hardly mentioned bin Laden. And even when he does mention him it's usually because he is asked a direct question about him.
Bush doens't seem to as desirious to get OBL as you are.
if they wanted to kill him they would have killed him by now
I dont belive OBL is hidden THAT good at playing hide and seek
Then i'll kill bin Laden.
Either way he's toast.
Look - bin Laden is locked up in the mountainous backwoods of Afghanistan with a failing kidney and a bullet wound from a firefight with US soldiers.
He's pinned.
It's only a matter of time before he's out for the count - but I agree with the President's position, or at least I admit it has great merit.
Bin Laden is irrelevant and unable to attack the United States due to our military efforts - i'm very comfortable with that, and I think so is the President.
Of course only the President and can speak for himself - I have no doubt he's of the same opinion as his military - it's just a matter of time.
someone told me to check this site out...
www.reopen911.org
its been five years already
I'm a patient person.
...thats probably what Clinton thought too... :?
I NEVER WORE IT BECAUSE OF THE TALIBAN, MOTHER. I LIKE THE MODESTY AND PROTECTION IT AFFORDS ME FROM THE EYES OF MEN. Dust, X-Men
either that or ur Mr Naive
Look how long did it take them to find Saddam-longer then they bragged about but they got there in the end
but its been FIVE years since their so called intelligence has been looking for a man in some mountain
I beleive they aint looking
either that or they're just too stupid to be called the "intelligence"
I agree that he shud be caught but u have TOO much faith in ur men
Iraq is not Waziristan we caught Saddam because his vast network of friends ran out quickly and he had little time to run and hide.
Osama is far more popular and up until now knows the area better - all we need is for him to make one little mistake.
Hunting is just a matter of patience and time.
I guess the president has too much faith in the fairy tale about the "tortoise and the hare"
Actually Clinton had him but let him go.
Because he was a terrible defense President - he had no idea what to do with the military so he let them run themselves and when they needed an executive decision he asked political advisors what the best route would be rather than military ones.

OSAMA BIN LADEN'S MESSAGES: TERROR ON TAPE
Following the devastation of September 11th, Osama bin Laden's televised messages quickly sparked tumult in a trembling world.
The Bush administration cautioned U.S.-based media against airing bin Laden's "prepared propaganda tapes." They suggested the recordings contained coded messages to terrorists.
OCTOBER 7, 2001
Hours after U.S.-led forces began dropping bombs on Afghanistan, bin Laden taunts the U.S. in a video broadcast on the Arabic-language Al-Jazeera station.
He praises the September 11 attacks, but does not claim responsibility. The tape shows him seated in a cave next to his lieutenants Ayman al-Zawahiri and Sulaiman Abu Ghaith. Bin Laden insists, "Every Muslim must rise to defend his religion. The wind of faith is blowing."
NOVEMBER 3, 2001
Osama bin Laden lashes out at the United States and United Nations in a videotape broadcast on Al-Jazeera.
Bin Laden condemns U.S.-led airstrikes in Afghanistan and claims the United States is targeting civilians. Bin Laden does not deny that his al Qaeda organization was responsible for the September 11 attacks and says true Muslims celebrated those acts.
DECEMBER 13, 2001
The Bush administration releases a videotape of bin Laden bragging about the deadly attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The tape was found in a private residence in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, but was made in Kandahar and dated November 9, officials say.
Bin Laden indicates he knew of the September 11 plan several days before the attacks. He jokes that some of the hijackers thought they were assisting in a non-suicide hijacking.
DECEMBER 26, 2001
Al-Jazeera broadcasts excerpts of a videotape of bin Laden in which the al Qaeda leader calls the September 11 attacks "blessed terror" and accuses the West of hating Islam.
"We say our terror against America is blessed terror in order to put an end to suppression, in order for the United States to stop its support to Israel," bin Laden says on the tape.
JANUARY 31, 2002
Despite Al-Jazeera's objections, CNN airs an interview that Al-Jazeera conducted with bin Laden in October 2001 -- less than a month before the Taliban collapsed and al Qaeda's leadership fled.
Bin Laden says the U.S. accusations that he was involved in the September 11 attacks are "unwarranted." He later says, "If inciting people to do that is terrorism, and if killing those who kill our sons is terrorism, then let history be witness that we are terrorists."
APRIL 15, 2002
Al-Jazeera broadcasts a videotape that shows Osama bin Laden with his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who claims credit for the September 11 attacks.
"This great victory that has been accomplished can only be attributed to God alone," al-Zawahiri says on the tape. "Those 19 brothers who went out and gave their souls to Allah almighty, God almighty has granted them this victory we are enjoying now."
OCTOBER 6, 2002
Al-Jazeera broadcasts an audiotape of bin Laden, in which he says, "That's why I tell you, as God is my witness, whether America increases or reduces tensions, we will surely answer back in the same manner, with God's blessing and grace, and I promise you that the Islamic youth are preparing for you what will fill your hearts with horror, and they will target the centers of your economy until you stop your tyranny and terror."
NOVEMBER 12, 2002
An audiotape indicates that the al Qaeda leader might be alive and warns of future attacks against U.S. targets.

FEBRUARY 11, 2003
Bin Laden tells Muslims around the world to challenge the U.S.-led war in Iraq. The audiotape aired on Al-Jazeera, which originally denied its existence.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2003
Al-Jazeera airs a videotape of bin Laden and his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, walking down a hillside path in an undisclosed location.
In audiotaped statements accompanying the video, bin Laden praises the hijackers who crashed jetliners into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field on September 11, 2001.
OCTOBER 18, 2003
Al-Jazeera airs a tape that the CIA says was recorded no more than six months before it was aired, since the speaker makes "specific references to recent events."
The recording threatens to launch suicide attacks against the United States and any countries that assist it in Iraq. "Most of you are a mob with no trace of good morals," the speaker said, addressing Americans. "We will continue to fight you as long as we have weapons in our hands."
JANUARY 5, 2004
Unlike previous tapes attributed to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, this one, aired on Al-Jazeera, begins with the speaker stating that he is bin Laden.
The speaker describes the U.S. occupation of Iraq as the beginning of an occupation of Persian Gulf states for their oil and urges Muslims to challenge U.S.-allied governments in the Middle East.
"There is no dialogue except with weapons," he said.
APRIL 14, 2004
Al-Jazeera broadcasts an audiotape that the CIA says is likely Osama bin Laden offering a truce to European nations if they pull troops out of Muslim countries. The speaker also threatens revenge on the United States for the death of Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who was killed March 22 in an Israeli targeted helicopter attack in Gaza City. The "truce" or "non-aggression" is offered to any European country that stops "attacking Muslims," but excludes the United States from any such deal. Many European leaders quickly ruled out any negotiations with the al Qaeda leader.
MAY 6, 2004
An audiotape message purportedly from bin Laden is posted on an Islamic Web site, offering 22 pounds of gold to anyone who kills Coalition Provisional Authority head Paul Bremer, top U.S. military officers and U.N. officials.
The message suggests that the bounties were being offered in response to rewards the United States has offered for wanted figures in Afghanistan and Iraq, including bin Laden.
OCTOBER 29, 2004
Four days before the U.S. presidential election, al-Jazeera broadcast a videotape of Osama bin Laden addressing the American people. He said their security depends on U.S. policy, not on who is elected president.
"Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or al Qaeda. Your security is in your own hands," he said. "Any nation that does not attack us will not be attacked."
DECEMBER 16, 2004
An audiotape message purportedly from bin Laden is posted on Arabic Web sites. The message praises the attackers who stormed the American consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 6, 2004.
"We pray to Allah to accept the mujahedeen who stormed the U.S. consulate in Jeddah as martyrs," the speaker says.
A Saudi militant group with ties to al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack.
JANUARY 19, 2006
An audio message purportedly from bin Laden airs on Arabic-language television network Al-Jazeera, warning of upcoming attacks on the United States. "We have seen explosions in many European countries. As for similar operations taking place in America, it's only a question of time. They are under way, and you will hear about them soon."
hmmm... are these more fairy tales made up by the bush administration to build up support by waving a dead guy about?? "CIA says.." hmm.. like they're an independant body
we can look at previous OBL stories made up by US govt liars.. e.g.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/alqaida/story/0,12469,851112,00.html
or do u guys still remember the fake video tapes?
Round and round the Ka'bah,

Some scientists say that all the tapes and recordings could possibly be fake.
And Muslims worldwide generally believe that terror attacks are works of CIA and Israeli secret service Mossad, and that US makes up these taped messages to justify invasions in their war on terror.
There is no end to such conspiracies. People just love to live in a fantasy world:
Omrow
All of them fake?
u obviously gotta look at each one individually
but the CIA generally does not have good reputation when it comes to things like these, hence why one would be cautious in accepting it as truth.
one of the signs of the hour..
People will believe a liar, and disbelieve one who tells the truth. People will distrust one who is trustworthy, and trust one who is treacherous; and the Ruwaybidah will have a say.' Someone asked, 'Who are the Ruwaybidah?' He said, 'Those who rebel against Allah and will have a say in general affairs.'" (Ahmad.)
There's also an ayah in the Qur'an and that warns mankind against these liars.. can't remember the refs.. can look up if necessary.
Now If by not accepting the words of a liar without questioning, If by I do not take advise from the holy scriptures seriously, I am living in a fantasy world..
surely i can switch that statement to those who believe everything told by the US govt as truth to be living in their fantasy worlds..

MASHAALLAH Khan brother.
Indeed it is among the signs of Qiyaamah that the proven liars are takent as honourable, and the people of honour are shunned and abused.
Btw Dave, who says Bin Ladin Sahib is the Mahdi? Never heard that. And actually there will be more than one Mahdi. Just as there will be approximately 30 dajjals so too there will be more than one mahdis.
The First Four Caliphs as an example are accepted by the MUSLIMS as being Khulafaa ar Rashideen al MAHDIYEEN.
They were mahdi aswell.
Not saying Bin Ladin Sahib is a mahdi, just pointing out that there are going to be more than ONE.
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
If i'm not mistaken, there was a [url=http://therevival.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display... on the old forum about it.
As for the end of the world
I think we can all take a collective sigh of relief that there presently are no "honourable people being shunned and abused" with respect to bin Laden and his friends.
Which is most fortunate because I did in fact have plans extended to beyond Tuesday and i'd hate to see them disrupted by something as simple as Judgement Day.
But on a more philosophic note - at what point in history can we really point to, that there is not an abundance of people following liars and abusing truth tellers?
Adam and Eve - The Tower of Babel - The Time of Noah - The Time of Lot - The Egyptian Pharoahs enslaving the Israelites - The Roman Empire - The Dark Ages - Spanish Inquisition - Witch Trials - World War I, and II.
Isn't this simply human nature?

yeh not really got any thoughts on the text allegedly from OBL..
gotta say its a valid point about history being full of people being deceived. assuming an undertone of the sign of the hour being too vague to hold any relevance, it should be noted that the lies have never reached the masses on a global level as it is today.
Soon years containing treacheries and tricks will come. A liar will be declared true in them and a true man will be declared a liar; a treacherous will be designated as trustworthy and a trustworthy as a treacherous. (Ibn Majah)
--
The time will be years of confusion. People will believe a liar and not believe one who tells the truth. (Ibn Ahmad Hanbal)
--
The acceptance of lies and rejection of the truth are among the portents of Doomsday. (al-Tabarani)
--
Tricky years lie before the Hour. At those times, trustworthy people are accused and traitors are believed. The trustworthy one is silenced, and the liar is seen as reliable. (Ibn Asakir)
--
It is a sign of the Hour when one who is not fit possesses a lot and is brought to a good status, while one who is capable is ousted. (Nu`aym ibn Hammad, Kitab al-Fitan)
the spread of false testimony and slander are further important portents of doomsday. such activities occur because people distance themselves from religion's morality, which entails being honest under all conditions and being just even at the expense of one's self-interest.
people who are distant from religion's morality and unaware that they will give an account of their deeds on the day of judgment can readily tell lies or give false testimony if doing so will benefit them. The growing number of such people is a sign of Prophet Isa' (a.s) second coming
Verily, in the presence of the Last Hour there will be … false testimony and concealing evidence. (Ibn Ahmad Hanbal and al-Hakim)
--
There will be false accusations of unchastity and slander. (Tirmidhi)
--
God's Apostle said, "When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour." It was asked. "How will honesty be lost, O God's Apostle?" He said, "When authority is given to those who do not deserve it, then wait for the Hour." (Sahih Bukhari)
this is just one aspect of a sign of the end of times, viewed within the context of other signs and there chronological occurences in our recent history, I cannot see why one would question its validity.
planning ahead sure. no matter how much we plan, Almighty Allah is the best of planners. it is why devout Muslim's use the word inshAllah extensively in their daily vocabulary. even if its guaranteed to be the end of the world tomorrow in Islamic tradition, it is said to be a blessed act to plant a tree even one day before the end of the world.

I was waiting for somebody to bring this up.
I thought in your judgement day there is one Mahdi.
There will be a 'dajjal' of every age.
in other words every age will have a challenge. It does not mean there is a factory making clones out there.
And every age there will be a mahdi.
Someone who sticks it to the Dajjaal.
The physical descriptors do not have to match til the final ones, but the character descriptrs will be close. (these Dajjaal may even be concepts, and not a person...)
"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
maybe mirza ghulam ahmed qadiani was one of the past dajaals ...
What Dajjaal promises as heaven will actually be hell.
Qadiyani does fit that image.
So does OBL... (afterall you do not go to heaven for killing inncent people...)
So does the TB/Dubya partnership and the war of terror... (he will visit many countries and expose the hypocrites... TB and his runs before the Iraq war...)
"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
Yes Mirza Ghulam Qadiani Maloon is indeed one of the imposters, he is a dajjal.
admin I am shocked you have put Bin Ladin Sahib with Qadiyanis, that is most displeasing.
