Work, Life, and Poetry of Mawlana Rumi (ra)

Angel

Behold, I tried all things, turned ev'rywhere,
But never found a friend dear as you.
I testes ev'ry fountain, ev'ry grape,
But never tasted wine as sweet as you!

Hehe mod, I was just going to say that, u beat me to it

Anyway back to topic-

What is love? If you don't know ask the nights.
Ask these pale faces, these dry lips.
Just as water reflects the stars and the moon,
So bodies reveal the heart and mind.
The soul can learn thousands of lessons from love.
Such things that no school can possibly teach.
Just as the moon shines out among the stars in the sky,
So love shines out among hundreds of people,
Once it has appeared all else fades...
