ADMIN.

i think u should get rid of the PhantomMod account. we should be able to assign the faults of a moderator to the particular person at fault - not him, and possibly 6 other people.

and it seems to me that a moderator, or all of u, are taking advantage of this account to moderate when its not that necessary - when u could get blasted for it by a member or another moderator.

After Omrow and Judda, i am probably the third most edited member, tho i have no idea y half the time. its ALWAYS the PhantomMod, and whichever one of u does the editing, never leaves a note of it behind.

As everyone is aware the phantom mod account is currently being used by a number of moderators and this has no doubt led to some confusion as to who is editting what.
However this is currently being looked into so each mod can hav his/her own account, thereby avoiding any further confusion. Ofcourse this can only be confirmed by Admin.

DUST: your objections have been currently noted and the relavant action will be taken accordingly.

There seems to be alot of confusion as to which mod is editting what.
As there are a number of mods using phantom acc we dont know which one to complain about/to.
Are they going to be designated their own accounts so we know whose doing what? and whats the reasoning behind having a single account available to all mods?

That would not really make much of a diference... (after all you will not know which mod edited your post unless a sig is left behind.)

What I proposed in the guidelines that each mod stick to a unique signature. Any signature that another mod is not using.

(and try to leave a comment aswell...)

And as always if in doubt leave it. If people disagree with the lack of moderation, they will kick up a fuss.

Mess can be cleaned up later, but what has been removed cannot be re-added.

I suggest that all the Editors should have a unique ID so that we know who did what to whom.

Moreover, whenever a post is completely deleted , or modified,
the Editor who carries out such a task ought to state the reasons for the decision.

Furthermore, all the altered and deleted posts should be
kept somewhere safe for future re-posting incase the decision in reversed.

Admin: u have not provided an explanation for the PhantomMod account existing. i think we've all made it pretty clear we don't want it - all mods should have their own account.

I share the concerns of others members here.

I think it is safe to say that we all totally reject the
unreasonable actions taken lately by some mysterious moderators on this forum.

We insist on a full explanation of what has transpired up till now.

And we demand that such a shadowy behaviour come to an end forthwith.

Admin you say (i think it was) that havin new accounts wont help as some mods might not leave a sign. at the end but surely if they have their own usernames then you can tell who edited/deleted the posts?

angel one of the rules of moderating (see the Rules thread) is that moderators HAVE to leave a note behind after editing - if they didnt, we wouldnt know whodunnit because they dont submit a new post from their own account just for editing another, if that makes any sense...
