why were they driven underground? and how many countries are they present in? Do they have any clear doctrine? Is it a social movement? political? or military?

In prison he bacame more radicalised and became ideological godfather of Muslim extremism. He was then executed. I have met and chatted with these nutters. They are bad news.
A gullible young person can easily be caught in their web. They turn the youth into hate filled zombies.
In a nutshell, the Muslim Brotherhood are a bunch of
fanatical Salafis who are trying to impose, by force, their own version of extremist Islam.
I wouldn't even call it Islam. Its more like the Devil's Charter.

And if he is the spiritual leader, how can the Muslim Brotherhood be salafies?
Or is it not a religious movement, thus any denomination can be a part of it?
I have heard that their views are rather brutal, but i would assume that has something to do with them being driven underground.

MB reject Sufism. So, if you're a Sufi you can't join.
