Only point 1 is why pork is forbidden.

The author is using the topic of pork to take pot-shots at Americans.

Besides, obesity [i]is[/i] funny. Only when fatness is truly a source of much hearty laughter will fat people realise the need to shed a few pounds - if only to be accepted by society as normal.

However My main reason for sayign offtopic was to tell you to leave it.

I have done some rough calculations, and I need to do about 50-60 hours worth of background work. None of it will be noticeable, but must be done. (that is spending about 6 mins each on about 600 pages... I have gone through the rest. Not much time to do much actual correcting). And then AFTER that I can start to do some useful, noticeable work.

I have split this into a new topic.

So if you have anything to add website-wise, just throw it in here.
