anybody remember them books that could end differently?

you start of reading a scneario, and you are the main character....you then have to choose at the end of the 2 or 3 pages what your next action is. you could change the story of your character, make him die or carry on

the aim was to not die for as long as possible

VERY good ones

stories were thrilling and you could read the one book all the time and have a different story Biggrin

and, no it wasnt goosebumps!

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

I read one of those make your own story ones once.

There was a special ending in the book. You know... the dream ending.

I actually checked every single page tosee what page it lead to.

No page actually led upto the dream ending.

Since then I have avoided such farces.

If i want to make my own story, I'll write a book.

oh whatever!!

My sis has written a book, it was so good i wanted it to be published she told me to get lost  She is great with writing, also can write excellant poetry but she would die if anyone saw it!

simple solution.

Write your name on it.

And if the literature becomes famous, just take the money and run.

harsh maybe... but realistic.

no it isn't 'realistic' either, not everyone lets things 'get to their head'. its not nice to assume.

its not nice to assume BAD things about people - she just stated it matter-of-factly in her post...

Assumptions are assumptions,
instructions are instructions and tomatoes are tomatoes.

My dear Aasiyah... assumptions are one thing and words of wisdom are another. The young can not know how the old think, yet the old are foolish if they forget what it is like to be young.

lol dont try to wriggle out of this by going into 'philosophical' mode... Blum 3

fair enuf if u want to call urself a budda. Biggrin

BUT there are pessimistic assumptions i.e. think the worst of everyone AND optimistic assumptions i.e. think the best of everyone. there are many ahadith supporting the latter.

I agree with Aasiyah.

When in a hole, stop digging.

All that does is make the situation worse/get others to fall into it aswell.

It does NOT get you out of the hole.

You seem to be stuck with the word assumption on your lips.

According to dictionary.com: assumption is 'a statement that is assumed to be true and from which a conclusion can be drawn' or 'a hypothesis that is taken for granted' however if you look at my original statement above I-m so happy you'll find it doesnt quite fit this definition... therefore the act of assuming is irrelavant and your comments nothing but heresay.

Furthermore you shall find that infact my original statement falls more nicely in the terms of instruction or advice.

Case closed, court is adjourned.
