Maybe the "barbaric" comment was understood by somepeople to be a jab at al jahiliyah.

I HIGHLY doubt the people at Disney knew enough about islam for it to be islamophobic.

lol steriotypical - but the old good steriotype of the middle east as exotic and interesting.

ITS A FRIGGEN KIDS MOVIE.

and I still like it - so there.

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.

Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

I agree that muslims sometimes read too much into stuff

I read in the papers about some ice cream that caused offence to the Muslims

but they did end up changing the lyrics

.....that's weird.

lol how can it be Shirk if they aren't muslims?

And how can watching it be Shirk if you don't believe in it.

You have to be a hard core Disney fan to substitute it for your religion

There was an awesome show up in Canada called "Due South" it wasn't a cartoon and I only saw it when I was in Chicago, but it was fantastic - did it ever play in the UK

Yes they did.

It was shown on BBC2.

It was about a mounty and an American detective and the mounty's dog/wolf-type creature.

i remember now...the guy wore that red uniform...watched a few episodes back then was quite good

Just wanted to add:

Cartoons
The Hurricanes -United might wanna take lessons off them.

The Phantom- oh, this was sooo awesome, like X men good. He could jump around like spiderman but go invisible as well.

BTW I was gutted when they stopped showing Due South, anyone got the theme? I can't remember past, "Duuueee South.."

Anyone else notice they called the monkeed in Alladdin 'Abu' that can't be coincidance. Its the anti creationists... Sad

Oh what was the cartoon, '[something] Max' It had this giant rooster, some blond kid called Max and Thor..The big dude. I used to pretend I was Thor kicking everone's .... Biggrin

Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

Through cheating, stealing, and lying, one may get required results but finally one becomes

No ones mentioned the

'Samurai Pizza Cats?'
or

'X-Men'.... or 'Spiderman'

Disney... Lion King...v.cool.

Captain Planet was the Eco-friendly super-heroes...

Used to watch Tin Tin and Yogi Bear ("Smarter than the average bear... hey bobo?") lol i still got it.

I also remember a character for the Animaniacs called Slappy the Squerial who was an old woman-squieral but was really funny.

I used to watch Due South... about a Canadian Mounty whose father gets killed and he travels to Chicago to track him down... and enlists the help of a Chicago cop... he also had a deaf wolf called 'Defen-baker' or something to that effect.
