The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

The only thing I can think of is there less chance of Oldhamdude or Mujahid trying to chat you up, but the way they go on I think there be no difference really
Don't know if this article will help you, but there is a little bit about neglecting the hijab

is there less chance of an oldham dude trying to chat her up i dont think so to sum guys the hijab doest mean a boundry
i couldnt agree more..i mean there are so mny girls that do so much stuff and so guys just assume that all hijabi are the same..am i rite?
IMO the actual act of wearing a hijab is not as important as the attitude that a girl adopts.
I know girls who dont wear the hijab, but they are modest, so the guys know that she isnt "that type of girl" so they dont bother her.
On the other hand you have some girls who are wearing hijab but they arent modest in the least.
So...its about having the right attitude
This is soooo true sister Fatima (beautiful name btw) as there is inner hijab and external hijab, by inner I mean how a person acts, their intention, their thoughts, and then there is outer hijab i.e. how the person is dressed, how do they act in front of people etc. And yeah by the attitude of a female a male knows where he stands, as they say it takes two to tango!
THROUGH LOVE all that is bitter will be sweet.
Through Love all that is copper will be gold.
Through Love all dregs will turn to purest wine.
Through Love all pain will turn to medicine.
Through Love the king will turn into a slave!

Omro i am glad you found that funny but it was actually a comment a made in regards to a speach Asiya is doin hence the last min. research, now thinkin in the context you used it sure was funny but very cruel and somethin i wudnt say.
I have not got references to hand, but I seem to remember a hadeeth which states to the effect that those women who emerge from their homes, and walk and behave in a manner which attracts men, for them , they will not even get the fragrance of paradise.
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
i think this is the hadith u are referring to Med:
Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: "There will be in the last of my Ummah, scantily dressed women, the hair on top of their heads like a camel's hump. Curse them, for verily they are cursed." In another version he said: "...scantily dressed women, who go astray and make others go astray; they will not enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance, although it can be smelled from afar." [At-Tabarani and Sahih Muslim]

mashaALLAH. What do the people make of that?
Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar
ye u r right about that sister fatima definatly...like the person below said its about the inner hijab in a person..and like u said that u know girls that dont wear it and r so modest..all my friends do not wear hijab and i know girls that do and the ones that dont r much much better than the ones that do wear it...to some people hijab is just a show
salaam
i think some girls forget the fact when they have it on they stand out 10 times more as to say automatically they are branded a muslim and so people have expectations.
however i dont think its fair to say that the actual wearing of the hijaab is not as important as the attitude it takes both.
salam saadia..u make a very good point..i think if u wear hijab u must have the right attitude to match..am i right?..
i agree. inner hijab and outer hijab are 2 seperate things, yet connected. neither should be neglected.

yes..i think u need to have both
For some it may take time but as long as one tries then i am sure you can practice both the inner and outer hijab.
ok so what would u make of hijabi girls who are soooo loud that kno matter where they go they always have attention..i mean isnt the purpose of the hijab so that u wont have all of that attention
absoultely
was that for me or for angel
lol. tru, this is a problem. but as angel said, inshaAllah as long as they are aware of the 'inner hijab' and are trying to practise it, inshaAllah they will eventually get there.
but if we happen to have hijabi frends who are oblivious to this 'inner hijab' i.e. they simply dont know about it, it is our duty to tell them (nicely!)

but these are the kind of girls that it is their nature to act like that..they ahve always been this way and they like it..do u no what i mean...they assume that because if their hijab no1 wants to even look at them..but they do..they get soomuch attention
it was to both
i mean i understand where ur cumming from with them being very loud n everything. n yeah as sister Aasiya says u have to tell them nicley which can be hard.
but i dont think they seem to get the kind of attention they want if u see wat i mean. if it is oh look at me kind of attention then y are they wearing the hijab. is it forced upon them
another thing i have seen is that girls who are forced to where the hijab rebel, that like most people do when they are told to do sumthing, its human nature to want to do the opposite. but i feel it shudnt be forced by parents because they dont learn to respect it.
lol...i remember we were on the bus and they were so loud one guy turned around and said please can u keep ur voices down n what do they do..they talk louder....i mean why is it some girls assume that because they wear hijab they dont have to consider anything else...i mean correct me if i am wrong but isnt being quite and innocent better than being hijabi and loud?
