salaam
i was just thinking if we died tomorrow...
have we done enough to die as a Muslim?
have we done enough for the grave to be like a garden of paradise?
have we done enough to avoid the punishment of the grave?
have we done enough to be able to answer the questions in the grave?
have we fulfilled the haqooq-Allah (rights of Allah)?
have we fulfilled the haqooq ul ibaad (rights of people)?
have we carried out the acts that were compulsory on us?
have we done enough for the cause of Islam?
have we got the fear of Allah in our hearts?
have we spent most of our time in living towards the purpose of life?
have we done enough to make sure we are not embarassed infront of EVERYONE when our deeds are read out?
have we ever thought about death?
have we prepared for death and the hereafter?
have we ever thought how many things we do which wont help u sin our herelife at all?
death is a reality ppl...
for most of us teh answers to the qustions is either no, or not enough or nothing.
so shall we start from today and works towards a positive hereafter....

excellent post ed
we should all ask ourselves these questions
some people are in the view that 'im only young got plenty time to be good muslim after' but death does not look at age
we have to come to the reality death can take us any time
may allah forgive our sins and accept our repentance
INSHALLAH... i just bear this hadith in mind,
On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, who said: The messenger of Allah took me by the shoulder and said:
"Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer."
The son of Omar used to say:
"At evening do not expect [to live till] morning, and at morning do not expect [to live till] evening. Take from your health for your illness and from your life for your death."

2 scary to think about death
try to avoid thinking about it (i no im a coward),
but you like to think that perhaps you will live to a later age when you can try and do right and erase some of the wrongs you have done
good post ed
never really thought bout it but now you mention it yeah u never know when ur tym will be up. Therefore now would be a good tym to start bein a good muslim. Most people think theyl live till their old age therefore makin it alright to go around doin bad things coz they think they can repent their sins later, this is not good.

does anyone ever wonder if they'd be missed?
What's the point?
Just to massage ur ego
Then there's no point.
you'll be missed by your family no matter what....but to your friends and community...you will be remembered by your character, your persoinality, your actions, your work, etc....
hopefully when we die, the people after us will say, he/she was a good Muslim...inshallah.
inshallah

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Those who spent their lives busy in the Dhikr of Allah (swt)…Allah (swt) keeps their Dhikr (remembrance) alive even after they pass away.
In fact He (swt) makes sure that their Dhikr is not only done not only by Him, but by the rest of the creation as well.
This is why hundreds and hundreds of years down the line, we mention/remember (do Dhikr) of the people who spent their lives in the remembrance of Allah (swt)…i.e. Shaykh Abdul Qadri Jillani (ra), Mawlani Rumi, Imam Ghazzali etc etc
Normally, when one passes away they are forgotten about 50 odd years later…however, if they spent their lives pleasing Allah (swt) and remained busy in His remembrance, He makes sure that they will be remembered till the Day of Judgement.
Allah (swt) has said “Remember Me and I’ll remember you”.

If death comes i will be pray for another chance from Allah (swt).
I think everyone wants to knw whether thye will be missed, i hope sum1 misses me so they send some Quran/durood sharif on my behalf to lessen my sins/punishments.
I think that just a natural instinct, no one want to be forgotton, but never the less we will be, it only natural apart from the immediate family who will i sure miss the deceased.
