What directed study i thought we only had 1 for HR. Got the HR coursework sheet on fri. Ordered me books first on amazon but were takin too long so cancelled the order and went blackwells, got sum from there and rest from portlands, they got 10% off every book u buy so best bet is to go portland u save a few quid. Yeah know what you mean bout breakin the bank, i'm sooo skint, startin to look for job again coz cant make do. Spent roughly bout 200 quid, alot of books to buy this yr.

Oh sweet Jesus

200 pounds?!?! reckon my mum will lend me that? lol

Directed Study for HR- some optional work that will apparently help wiv ur coursework

i know waterstones and blackwells, wheres portland?

Sirus — Tue, 1 Nov 2005 - 09:32

nice1.....i managed to, hopefully inshallah, sort it out with a 2nd year - 60 quid for the lot 8)

Naz — Tue, 1 Nov 2005 - 09:36

yeah not bad, but the thing bout used books is most peeps highlight in them and it makes it difficult to read, well i think anyway, me mum told me buy off the 2nd yrs but i told her they only knock off a few quid and you might as well pay for a new one for a couple more quid. But depending on how many books we need for 3rd yr and how much it will cost i mite buy used.

Sirus — Tue, 1 Nov 2005 - 09:38

if its already highlighted then saves me the hassle of reading it all 😂

i prefer em new too, but if you think how often i actually use em, then it aint worth spendin so much on

reckon i can get the HR question from Anna's room 2day?

Never bunked off school (I was the kid who got the 100% attendance certificates for like 5 years straight) but I was late once because I was feeding the squirrels and another time cos I climbed up a tree to have a nap but overslept a bit.

Ahh that reminds towards the end of yr 13 me and my mates started regularly using the late book, and not in a god way I think several of our good excuses were:

Weird dream

A stitch in time saves nine.

Fell down a well

Broke a nail (a guy wrote that one)

Didn't account for the extra time limping to college would require (played football five minutes after twisting my ankle, the day before)

I'm not late, i'm early for tommorow

Bus was late (I walked to college every day.. a bus somewhere was probably late that day!)

😂 ahh the list goes on.
