Muslim Women Need To Start Working-Blunkett

More Muslim women need to get out of the family home and enter the workplace if genuine equality is to be achieved in Britain, says former Home Secretary David Blunkett.

The minister was speaking in Glasgow last week. He said it was time for Islamic community to start changing their attitude to women and encouraging all their mothers, daughters and wives to learn English, get a job and escape the control of male dominated households.

He said “Quite a number of people in the south Asian community in the country who have no job and are not connected to society are women”.

Mr Blunketts remarks are backed up by statistics from the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC). They show that 72 per cent of Pakistani and Bangladeshi women in Britain between the ages 16-59 are unemployed, compared to only 28 per cent of white British women.

i find it stress free and easy

so does sis-so does my mum (even tho mum has terrible eye sight)

so do a couple of other young mums we know
