What you suddenly wake up to find yourself in a friendship with someone of the opposite sex.... i dont think so.

Its intentional.... the fall for the other person isnt.

yeh, i was on abt the falling for the other person, obviously being friends with some1 can be controlled, but what if falling just happens without being friends without seeing each other, without expecting it or wanting it?

Med... you really are a novice. Its never intentional... it always...JUST HAPPENS. You cant force such things. Which is why we say prevention is better than cure. Cut yourself out of a situation where this may occur and you've saved yourself a lot of heartache.

Well if you decide to be friends with sum1 of the opposite sex (which many have said, male and female as friends = no such thing) then you cant say you didnt see it comin when you develop feelings for them or vice versa.

why cant a guy and girl be friends though. i mean i understand if you meet and chat alone, there is room for you to fall for each other, but is there less chance of sinning and falling for each other if you are in a group?

What if your group isnt with you? the guy and you (not you just using the word "you" to give an exmple) are left alone, what would you do, walk out of the situation, would be a lil akward cuz you know the person cuz you knew them thru mates, so you would feel obliged to talk to them out of good manners....i duno maybe i am just blabin!

Well it is possible cuz i have been at school and now doin my third yr at uni and have no guy "mates" number in my fone nor have i hanged about with any guys, if i have spoken to guy at uni/work then i have kept it strictly to work related or general uni talk or answering their questions regarding islam...one can avoid these situations.

wots so difficult bout it? u can b polite and to the point when u need to chat to guys; but out of school/work/uni hours, theres no need to chat, meet up, etc.
