christmas is coming up...

That means people will be got rid of.

They will not admit it, but it wil happen.

Besides you need ten hoildays over christmas.

atm I cannot afford half a month off unpaid (even though I would love the hols...).

Here I have paid holidays to cover christmas.

And In december I should find out about of some jobs I have applied for... not that I am holding out any hope...

You — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 01:57

I know the people there are better.

More people fasted during ramadan in your place than in mine. It was angerign to see so many muslims not fasting...

and for the earthquake they raised over 4k (I had my interview on that day... and coughed up...)

its a tough choice...

The only thing I am certain of is that i am not a good salesperson.

I am too abrupt in my pitches.

It can work (had a sale last week. asked a woman how much she spent on her mobile. she said £30.00 a month on paygo. I told her I'd cut it down to £25.00. she said yes. Shocking considering such a poor pitch... I did not know how she used her phone... and I was not sure what to offer. But I had the sale... so got all details, and afterwards told her what i was gonna give... strange... but a sale is a sale...)

Do they keep you behind if you do not meet target? here they do not...

Sirus — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 02:05

they wont be getting rid of people

therz no temp stuff here, not any agencies involved

theyre recruitin to fill the 2nd floor they just purchased to add to the 7th

its closed for 10 days over xmas

no1 thinks they can sell, but theres a lot of USP's that are genuine, which makes the job easy

plus the training is good

and i havnt seen a call centre as lively and jumpy as this one

only for an hour max if the total call centre targets or group targets are behind. but not individual.

2 taregts a day....10 a week....not hard. commission is upto £20 per contract

fizzy1 — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 17:11

im thinking of doing a PhD

but im 23 now, dont know if i should get a job now or spend another 3 years in education

decisions decisions

Dave — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 17:22

lol if you do it you have to promise to post as

"Dr. Fizzy"

until that point though you have to be Mr Pibb

Seraphim — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 17:59

Hayder you've not answered my question?? Is New York one of your destinations??? If its free then i may take it up.

But not really bothered as i "know someone who knows someone" in the airline biz. He shoots he scores... and thats the game....

Dave... we'll see... im not promising anything... if you notice an asian guy being arrested with a propper english accent... walk away. lol.

fizzy1 — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 18:06

im not sure what topic i would do it in, need to think about that.

ive just finished studying journalism, so it would be something along those lines.

ok once completed i will be dr fizz

Dave — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 18:09
ok once completed i will be dr fizz
Thats 20% more ghetto if either your first or last name begins with "f"

You might even be so ghetto you could officially start a rap career

Dave — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 18:14
what if the 'f' is in the middle of my name??
hmmmm.....

I dunno if "ghetto by technicality" works in the rap game.

Then again luda was able to pull it off - go for it!
ive changed my mind

instead of a PhD i mite do another masters degree
I might do a masters.

Need to make my mind up quick time.

Is it worth it?

How much does it cost?

How 'intense' is it?

fizzy1 — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 19:33

well my first masters would have been four and a half thousand pounds, but i won a scholarship, and a company paid for my training.

it was worth it. but now i want to do another masters degree

fizzy1 — Mon, 21 Nov 2005 - 19:35

very intense!

my first semester was 9-5 most days. a couple of those days we had no lunch break. 10 mins between getting to lectures. but it was all good

depends on subject you choose

Heres an off topic question:

Q. If you've been invited to attend a work Christmas party, would you attend? And why?

Omrow — Wed, 23 Nov 2005 - 18:45

Salam

I always do. Never miss a Jesus party.

Jesus is our Prophet too. We muslim love Jesus.

Christmas is good time to show this love.

Buy everyone something. Box of sweets always works.

Even if you can't do that, at least send your friends a Christmas card.

fine but doesn't all that booze and people acting at a sub sentient level after ingesting said booze put you off?

Y'know meet people, be cool fine but what if people try to get you into the Bachanalian, consumerist..ahem I mean Christmas spirit and nab you under the mistletoe?

Omrow — Wed, 23 Nov 2005 - 18:56

I don't drink alcohol.

Other people drink. Its their business.

They do not pressure me into driking. They know my beliefs; and so they respect me.

Why should I not respect their views ?

We live in this country.

And now that the opening hours for pubs are to be around the clock, we better get used to the smell of booze.
