π

Baby names?

Even though the message is a good film, try not to take your history lessons from hollywood!
Salam
Since it is Irfan's baby, I would suggest the name: Damien.
Its inevitable that he will be taught bad ways and will grow up to follow the dark master, unless God has mercy on the poor boy.
Omrow
He's not my baby. He's my brother.
Damien?!? Bad ways?!? Dark master?!?
Baby names?

Yazid was a very bad person. Bu that does not give us any right to insult his dad. Just to insult him.
yes very true..
May Allah TaΓ‘la grant us the true love of the Sahaaba. Ameen.

She was forgiven. But she should not sit infront of him, as it bought back painful memories.

insulting and abusing Yazeed is a salient feature of the kuffar and also of the people of innovation. It should be noted that the ulama of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah advise silence in regards to Yazeed as cursing him or praising him is not a matter of our concern nor does it affect our akhirah.
Secdonly I believe Imam Ghazzali alayhi rahmah said that we cannot even say that Yazeed ordered th killing of Sayyidina Hussayn radhiyallahu anhua because no evidence exists to that effect. The only thing we know is that Yazeed wanted Sayyidina Hussayn radhiyallahu anhu to pledge allegiance to him, further the way Yazeed and his family treated the women of Ahlul Bayt when they were brought to the capital indicates he wass remorseful on what had happened, infact the women of Ahlul Bayt were treated with full honour and escortec with honour back to Madinah Munawwarah, and the women of Yazeeds household wept with the women of Ahlul Bayt.
People forget the real villains. The real villains without doubt are the Kufans who did the treachoury.
Regarding Sayyidatuna Hind radhiyallahu anha. She became a Sahabiya and we have no right whatsoever to make any comment about her. The virtue of Sayyidatuna Hind is more than any alim, fazil, shaykh, qutb alive today. Shaykh Tahir ul Qadri, My Ustadji, Shaykh Sudays, EVERY1 alive today has no standing in comparison to Sayyidatuna Hind so those who hate her, I hate you for the sake of ALLAH.
About Her radhiyallahu anha not coming infront of the Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam this is unknown to me and not what I have been taught. Infact on one occasion women came to gave bay'ah to Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam and amongst them was Sayyida Hind radhiyallahu anha, infact she even posed a question before she gave the bay'ah and from her voice Nabi salallahu alayhi wa sallam recognised it to be his Chachi Jaan, Sayyida Hind radhiyallahu anha and also his mother-in-law.
The haters of Sahabi openly spread lies about the Sahabah. And bear witness that dearer to me is Sayyidatuna Hind radhiyallahu anha and her imaan than the world and what is in it.

Here we have it.
I don't know which Clerics he follows, but all the mosques in my town pour curse upon Yazid and his followers.
Victoria, Manchester's largest mosque, gives regular lectures roundly condemning the barbaric caliph.
Even most Wahhabi groups curse the idiot.
Med. Since you love him, I hope you get raised behind Yazid.
Omrow
Baby names?
True (well some of it).
When Imam Abu Hanifa was asked about yazid, he maintained silence.
and also of the people of innovation
I would advse you to read that article on ettiquette f disagreement. particularlt Ibn Taymiyya's views on calling everything bid'ah.
Nothing to gain from insulting anyone really.

pray tell who have I insulted? I have not made a comment on any1, made a general statement.
The people of innovation enjoy following the kuffar in certain aspects and one of the things they enjoy is cursing of Yazeed.
Omrow you are from the clan of ibn Saba. So what if the whole world curses Yazeed, I wont because I dont believe I get any reward for it, nor do I get a sin for not cursing him. Secondly as mentioned before, putting curses on Yazeed is a salient feature of the kuffar and I do not imitate them alhamdulillah.
Baby names?
calling people innovators (in religion) is an insult.
I said please read that article as it says efrain from such insults. now you can take my advice or leave it. That is your right.
I have done my bit.
Unity is not a one way road.
Baby names?
in the blessed month of Ramadan baby names what an innocent and lovely topic and it ends up here people cursing each other and talking about things even the alim's discuss rarely incase of mistakes
please Admin put a stop to this right now
salaam
Baby names?
Ok Seema I will leave it.
I dislike it when people resort to anything sectarian.
Ocasionally I may be guilty, but I try to keep above it.
Calling muslims innovators, grave worshippers, loveless, mushrik, catholic or anything similar is not acceptable.
Sorry about polluting this topic.
A good name:
Daanial.
Works in both langages. There are some names in urdu that are totally inappropriate for english, as it has a second meaning in english. IMO they should be avoided at all costs. The child will be emotionally scarred for life.
Baby names?
sorry admin i did not mean u i meant others who are insulting and cursing each other i just meant that u could perhaps ask THEM to stop

So Seema what names do you like?
Any you dislike?
And we are not allowed to name kids Rahmaan? unless there is like Abd befre it.
Rahmaan and Allah are two names for Allah prohibbited for the creation.

names should have an islamic identity and an attachment to islam and should not resemble the kuffar. So calling ones son Daniel as opposed to Daaniyal is dodgy, calling daughter Michelle instead of Misha'al (yes somone has named their daughter Michelle).
perversion of islamic names is not good. where is the name Muhammad and where is Mo? Where is the name Haroon and where is Harry? Between them is the difference of heaven and earth.
Baby names?
Agreed
which is great when ur called Hayder/ Haider
cant be shortened π
Baby names?
It is gonna happen.
Peer pressure to look cool.
The name you should never give your kid (or any kid for that matter) is Fakhr. There others with just as bad english meanings...
The name has to be Islamic, but after that it will inevitably be twisted.
Got a cousin who was gonna call call her son Quraiz. She did not. Her sister had sang out 'currys: always cutting prices!'

I would not call anyone Abdurrahman.
In western culture he would be mr Rehman. not Islamically acceptable.
ArRahman is a name of god that should not be given to any creation.
with the Abd before it it is a good name, but here the 'abd' would not be used.
Baby names?
why not, if AbdurRahman is just the first name then no problem. Well I intend to have Abdul Sons inshaALLAH, then when I wanna call them I can shout YA IBADALLAH OH SERVANTS OF ALLAH and it will be true in all sense. lol
Like a person called AbdurRahman Qurayshi. would be Mr A Qurayshi.
Baby names?
here it could be Mr A Qrayshi, but more likely Mr A R Quraishy...
since Abdul is too common a name it would not be used. Quraishy would be in a formal manner. The rest of the time the 'Rahman' is open to abuse...
Its just not something i am not comfortable with. I can se you have a different stance on this than me. Tis all good.
Baby names?
Tis all good.
tis indeed! mashaALLAH
errmmm
is that Hamza (ra) who was the best warrior around?(As shown in The Message - the one every1 feared)
and if it is, is Hind the woman who ordered that black man who was an expert with targers, to have Hamza killed?
