forbidden in islam,

ppl say different lengths, up 2 the ear lobes?

The hair must be of the same length all over the head and its length must not exceed a certain amount. I will get back to the forum in regards to the length, I believe it is upto the lower ends of the ears.

Regarding these fashions that are prevalent. The Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam is established to have stated to the effect that shaving part of the head only is not a permitted act, it was always the practice to keep he hair of one length.

Attractive.

No doubt some people, (read women), find men who have fashionably, badboy shortbackandsides cut attractive and they may find the taklu haircut/number one all over haircut a little unattractive. In response some men make their hair in that fashion, others decide to stick with sunnah type of haircut and keep it simple even if the opposite gender find the other haircut attractive.

I say that I care not whether women find men with those haircuts attractive because for me the pleasure of ALLAH and Rasul salallahu alayhi wa sallam wil be enough. And inshaALLAH, may ALLAH make us from the heaven-dwellers, I prefer the eternal pleasure and preference of the Celestial Maidens in paradise to the women of earth who prefer antisunnah styles.

May ALLAH make the sunnah my shield.
