Yes! i hav seen the same thing wid my auntie especially in the mornings even though she is really tired or hasnt slept very well she still wakes up n prepares the sehri/morning breakfast 4 every1 n also waking every1 up at the same time.

i just wonder sumtimes..hw does she do all dis :roll:

But you're the responsible one!

I am the worse person at sehri time, i can barely get up, mum comes to wake me up at least 3 times and even then my eyes are practically closed, i would agree with muslimsis and describe myself in zombie mode. However after sehri i do help mum with the work ie. puttin dishes in dishwasher etc. What annoys me the most is my sis, she is so chirpy and takes advantage of this to annoy me, must say though when she was away to pak for a whole yr come ramadan time i mised her the most cuz it was so dead then, cuz everyone just sat, ate read namaz and went to sleep.

Oh yeh feedback as to what happend y'day, read isha got in bed at 11:30pm and cudnt sleep till 2am! but managed to get up for fajar and then went to sleep got up for uni at 10am, i can only wake up early if I HAVE to get up otherwise i end up sleeping in.

When I was a kid, it was my job to go around the house waking up the rest of the household. I'd be up before my Mum even finished saying my name once... but my siblings? The amount of times I wished I had a shotgun :roll:

My daughter now gets up on one call, but still sits there with one eye open while she eats. Then when she's on the prayer mat, she'll sit there completely still for about ten minutes, mustering up the strength to move to stand and pray 😂

Do not believe every observation that passes through your head. It is not the case that you CANNOT get up unless you 'have to', and IN MY EXPERIENCE even 'having to' is possible to get around if you're caving in to sleepiness.

ftr, since everyone is so upfront, today I got up very late, about 11, I was at an egagement party last night and then mucked about online, ignored my 6.45 alarm conscious I didn't have any meetings. It was an easy day, checking for mail replies on projects I can do in my own time (but no replies today), choosing to make things happen or to doss, concerning an upcoming exhibition and another couple of projects, and my only concrete tasks were liaising throughout the day on a website layout that isn't working (I'm contracted to a few web-stuff and IT companies managing projects and bringing in business), and sourcing advertising quotes that people are running late on. One thing I'm proud of is that I don't run late for other people if I can avoid it, learnt some hard lessons! So at 11am I had to remind myself that I allocate my hours pretty effectively, which was to banish the guilt and get on with superlative work. I will be dipping in and out of work throughout this evening (which doesn't work if you've got a boss, so I've got that sussed and don't do 'jobs'). I didn't do any exhibition stuff, was interrupted by my housemate's father passing away, so I helped my housemate pack and phoned some of his friends (actually he was on his way up North to be with his father in his last hours but didn't make it in time), and my aunt needing some errands doing. The only dossing I've done today has been this and one other post here. And at the end of a not-very-productive day, I'm happy. I feel I was pretty excellent in spite of whatever. And tomorrow when my alarm goes off at 6.45 I get one snooze, meeting someone for brekkie. My point? a) I love myself. Love yourself. b) Nothing's gonna get me down. Don't let anything get you down and take pride in the small things. c) Don't come up with rules that portray you in a bad light, eg I can't get up if I don't have to. Well done for making today happen!

I’m always up at Sehri time, but I’m never fresh or alert. …and I strongly dislike waking up the rest of the household… if they don’t get out of bed after the first call I don’t bother running up the stairs again.

So you [i]are[/i] the responsible one.

Responsible would be to go back up those steps, throw a flip-flop at her brother and sisters and make sure they wake up, so they are not denied their rewards and munchies 😂

But they get more rewards, then you get more rewards cuz you helped them get them rewards. Especially if you help your Dad! It's a win-win situation 😉

i love the idea of morning the sehri the whole making paratay and eating yogurt etc but i'm not a morning person i wish mornings started at 11am

but i do the sehri properly but the whole time i feel as if i'm still dreaming i only come awake after fajar then i go back to sleep

My dad needs at least four wake up calls....I think he uses me as his "snooze button". Only after I tell him there are only 5 min left he runs downstairs.

But your right, I should be more patient and less sleepy and lazy.

fajr and sehri solution....works for me....so much in fact, i cant sleep after...

sehri time is the HARDEST part of Ramadan for me

its missions gettng outta bed

and i HATE being the wake up call for the men in my house

waking someone up a million times -just ruins the Sehri of others :evil:

Apparantly in Iraq they like to wake you up by gently stabbing there glowing cigerette butts on your legs or feet.#

I'm also a proper deep sleeper, once I went to sleep in bed normally and when I woke up the next morning, my mum told me someone had tried to break into our house and set an alarm off and I was the only one who slept through it.

I've slept through an earthquake. I took it to mean that the God was not punishing me, but everyone who was awake during the quake.

i had to be in uni at 9 today and i made the mistake of going to sleep after sehri-

so i was back in bed at 5.30 and out of bed at 7.30

i've felt awful all day long

no more going back to sleep after sehri for me

Well i aint a mornin person myself but Alhamdullilah ive been wakin up just on time for the past 2 dayz, probably becoz ive been sleepin dwnstairs 😂

Now im just realising hw valuable my sleep is specially wen pple used 2 say 2 me sleep on time :oops: ....wakin up at 4am n stayin awake all day goin bk to bed at 12.30am is hard but Alhamdullilah its worth it 😃

I just hpe i stay like dis after Ramadhan too.
