Last years winners are here:
http://www.therevival.co.uk/people/person_of_2004.php
so many things have happened this year, nationally, internationally...who has stood out? Who has stood up for Islam? Who has been the outstanding Muslim of the year for you? Who has been active throughout the year? who has made a difference? who has defended Islam the year over? who has influenced you the most this year? who do you think should be recognised for their efforts this year?
OK we have three categories;
1. Muslim Personality of the year 2005
2. Non-Muslim persoanlity of the year of 2005
3. The Revival Forum personailty of the year 2005
At the moment we will leave it open, we will introduce the short list soon.
The winners will be decided by YOU the member of this forum and will be published in the november/december issue of The Revival 2005. Deadline Nov 1st for all nominations.
So people keep the discussions clean, respectful, and interesting.

JHow can I let you be a mod? the power is already getting to you! and that is at the thought of being a Mod!
Being a Mod is not easy. You must allow others to post, even if you yourself find them ofensive.

I kind of agree with Admin about the voting of forum members, it like how can you differentiate between angel and lilsis, they pretty much the same poster. Same with Hayder and Seraph, Med and Naj, Admin and Irfghan
But if I remember last year when there was only two caterogry muslim and non muslim, people kept voting Muslim Sister as the muslim of the year and Dave as the non muslim of the year. Which made voting completely pointless.
im not as potty as Seraph! i feel insulted!
i speak english, not Yoda-ish!
agreed on the other pairs tho 🙂
mind you, i get you and Khan confused, very similar
THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005
Okay... im gonna let that slide Hayder... for now.
I would have thought my posts were... unique. Not to be shunned into a category with others.
Im in a category of my own and as such we require no title or award.
Wisedom behind my riddles speak for themselves.

Be quiet Newbie! i wana change my vote for the forum personality of the year, cant rember who i voted...but my vote goes to.... drum roll please!
Phanto 😃 - For being so pathetic/shy and a wimp for not tellin us who he/she really is! (Aasiyah i read your post b4 but dont know what thread it was in, Irf admited he was the "fake" phantom mod, he aint the "real" mod)
As for Seraph and Hayduh being same, no way you cant get 2 completely diff. posters, me and lilsis i gues we both like to be sarcy and do share a similar sense of humour but you cant mistake us both.....admin and irf nah, naj and med, yeh i see the resemblance.
THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005
nope!
thats the 1 diffrence between you and lilsis.....shes actually funny!
i give you credit for trying tho

THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005

THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005
I would like to change my nomination to ...Med.
I think he has developed so much since his first post (what sort of muslim are you?) and I find him making alot more sense nowadays and when he doesn't he is usually polite about it *subtle hint to Judda* so I think he should get the best revivaler one. 8)
plus I like the way he is always Du'a for us, may Allah bestow upon him the best revival forum member of 2005 awared.
Ameen sum'ameen!
THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005
I kind of agree with you, because out of everyone here he has had to take the most stick and people at time seem to be looking for holes in everything he says. Even though some comment are iffy and it does seem to apply too many things at time, i still have to say under the situation he has handle himself very well. I know a few member may have completely flip by now of they were put in the same situation as Med.
THE REVIVAL PERSON OF 2005
Loooooooooool.
I think I been going soft in my old age.
I should return to how I was, the firebrand preacher! Hahaha.
But, I have to say the dua practice is ALL from the practice of my Ustaadji. It makes the person who makes the dua and the one who recieves its heart soften.
Plus better to make dua for others rather than cursing em innit. Makes for more effective correspondence I find. alhamdulillah.

iam confused i dont know who to vote for each and every1 is obviously different and each and every one seems to make me laff sum way or another so i dont think ill vote

I know Admin said that he does not like “back slapping” however, in this thread I want to express my admiration for Dave and vote for him as the “forum personality” for this year.
I have a lot of respect and admiration for Dave simply and only because of the tolerance and respect he has shown to our religion.
In this discussion forum, I myself get annoyed with people whose beliefs/actions and behaviour I totally disagree with….due to this reason I very rarely get into debates with them.
However, Dave is a non Muslim…which means that most of what he reads on this forum is stuff that he most probably disagrees with….however, I have never came across him swearing, condemning, or making slanderous or insulting comments to anyone he disagrees with (unlike many other posters)….his posts are always full of respect, EVEN when he is personally being attacked.
He had to put up with so much from exHT however he never stooped to his level….I admire him for that….the strength of ones character is always shown by how they behave when they are unfairly attacked.
I feel that most of us should take a leaf out of his book and learn from him the etiquettes of disagreement.
He’s a clever guy and has fantastic manners.....and good manners are something I feel strongly about……it’s sad that it’s our religion which preaches and lays so much emphasis on good manners however, the people who practise this are few and far between.
And in my opinion ones character is the yardstick to measure ones worth and merits.
Anyways, I could go on but I best not…So, yeah I vote for Dave as forum personality of the year.

I can and will allow dissent.
I may not agree with what they say, but I'll defend their right to say it with my life. (My cyber life, not my real life)
