Urdu tafseer of Holy Quraan and started English one

The Syria tour, normal Muslims were allowed to go and be in the company of Qibla Hazoor and visit holy places around Turkey and Syria (I believe), spiritually refreshed and enlightened and very beautiful experience.

The Al-Hidayah camp, giving of his time to be with the youth and not just impart knowledge, which he did but to spiritually train them and help them acquire adhaab and blessings.

Various Lectures in UK and around the world. Spreading the knowledge and the love of Islam, everything he says is extremely enlightening.

Also he is an all-round good guy, perhaps those present at the Al Hidayah camp will remember the instance when Qibla Hazoor required assistance with the microphone and his assistant/helper friend (soz can’t remember his name, for now respectfully refer to him as ‘Bob‘) didn’t get up to alleviate the problem and stayed sitting down with Qibla‘s cup of tea, so two other people had to help. So Qibla Hazoor, smiling affectionately, says something to the effect of:

“ The Prophets (AS) watch over their ummah
The Peer looks after his Muriid
The shepherd watches over his flock
And Bob is watching over his cup of tea”

Perhaps it was a you-had-to-be-there thing but it EVERYONE cracked up laughing (with, not at).

For the muslim personality of the year,i will surely say MAULANA TARIQ JAMEEL,a great Islamic scholar of Islam who has dedicated his life for the propagation of Islam,after decades of his awe inspiring hard works he is probably one of the greatest Islamic scholar alive today.Being the central inspiration of many Pakistanis,no doubt i will vote him the MUSLIM PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR.

Hmm..non muslim..thats bit difficult..let me think..oo yeah i will say ARIEL SHARON the Prime Minister of Isreal,his decision of abandoning gaza strip and few parts of West bank was encouraging and probably the most influential decisions taken this year,having great impact on milions of Palestinianes,and ending decades of war between Palestinianes and Jews through this distribution,though in the distribution Isreal got the Lion's share but still for Palestinians Something is better than Nothing.

Forum personality..hmmm..thats a tough call,well everyone here has its own influence and importance and it has been a great forum overall.
But the hot favourites i think are

I voted for Muslim Sister last year because I learned a lot from her.

But there are other reasons to vote for somebody - thus I change my vote to lilsis.

For without lilsis I would have nobody to make fun of.

Nor would I have a reading list.

You can if you want, but I think ed would agree it would look funny if he win the Revival Muslim of the year, considering he produed it, but it is one caterogy which there isn't many people to vote for, which is a bad testimony on the muslims, the reason I choose the my muslim of the year is lame and I know it, but it the best I could do.

However, i would like to point out that i think the muslim personality i think this year is the Mujaddid of our current era, Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof.Dr.Tahir ul Qadri, if any one has doubts or rejects what i just said, well, listen, the great Shayukh in Damascus, Syria have said this and have spoken on it, and the Shayk-ul-Akbar in Syria now, has told us that he is ranked 4 in the Awliya Allah, which makes him the 3rd Qutb out of the 4. I think he is the muslim of the year, who has covered many issues throughout the whole world to be put in its right place, etc Milad un Nabi (saw), the islamic state, Miraj-un-nabi and various others...

For the muslim personality of the year again i will opt Mualana Tariq Jameel,the great orator,prominent proponent and the distinguished scholar.As far as this year is concerned,he is an active daee and has converted dozens of non-muslims to The real Gospel of life,hundreds of cds and casettes have been introduced in stores of his lectures and sermons and also is a great debater of Islam and in my opinion he is the central inspiration for many Pakistanis,and the crown for all hard works for Tableegh-e-deen (from Pakistan),during this year and of course the previous ones, goes to him.

[b]President Mahmood Abbas[/b] For showing the Palestinians are eaceful, and can withold resorting to force if their demands are considered. He has paved the way for the semi freedom of Gaza. (Hamas etc help in making it too costly to keep the occupation.)

[b]Asghar Bukhari (MPAC)[/b] For showing the alternative to just towing the party line. For giving an alternative means to channel a muslims frustation in the UK political arena.

[b]Syrian President Bashar Al Assad[/b] For ending the occupation of Lebanon, and thus also reducing the future likelihood of invasion by third parties i the name of freedom.

Just think of a situation, and who stood out in that one act.

Person of the Year is not about saying this person has had a perfect life etc etc, he is great etc etc, but about picking someone who did something this year that had a positive impact.

They have found their camp, and are sticking with it.

What is the point of hving persons of 2005 if for everyone it is their own leader?

That is good, but y sheikh is better than yours blah blah is the logical conclusion.

We need to see good in others aswell.

You see here are people sticking up for wither Dr Qadri, or Tariq Jameel, not because of something done this year, but because of their life, their status etc.

This is not a lifetime achievement award.

We need to think outside the box.

Even if i wasnt part of Shaykh ul Islam's organization i wuld hav still voted 4 him as I personaly think his dne a lot this year compared 2 many others.

it is non muslim personality or non muslim personalities.

Rather than whole of the English team,i think Andrew Flintoff deserves the crown,though it was a team work but,in my opinion, still without his awe-inspiring hard works it was inevitable that English would not be able to win the Ashes.
