Ah, I got it.
This song is pointless....
...whats with the random bell?
No Topic (Old and now locked)
all songs are pointless.
however some have a catchy jingle.
Like have you heard twisted nerve?
Its the whisteling at the start of Kill Bill. ne of those unforgettable tunes that do your head in as you cannot forget it, and its too complicated to actually copy it.

This is fricken weird...
Nope never heard twisted nerve, nor have I seen Kill Bill - that movie looked pretty messed up.
I'll try to find it.

hey it is probably the best film released in the last few years... if you have the stomach, and can handle the fact that the story has mostly been left to volume 2 (btw, I did not like vol2 much. it was average after the masterpiece that was vol1.)

I actually thought "Crash" was the best movie released in the last couple years... was that released in Britain?

This year (about a month ago I think). Not seen it.
Totally different genre.
KillBill is all about leaving your brain at home.

My aunty goes she wants to go hajj this year and wants to take me as her mahram. Do you think I should go considering I got exams straight after the holidays?
I want to go, but I really wanted to do my first hajj on my own or with my Ustad, not with any relatives cos they just kinda get in the way. But will I get a double reward for being the guardian of my aunt, without me she wont be able to hajj this yr either cos she has no other mahram to go with her?
Hmm. Double hajj reward. I like the sound of that. Its like double chocoloate layered swiss gateaux, only better. MMMMMMMMM better.
No Topic (Old and now locked)
yes if i were u i'd go...first of all u'll get sawaab for going with your aunt
as she has no one to go with her, secondly u should never wait to do hajj
if u are fit enough and have a chance to go u should go , how do u know
how long u going to live...its not good to wait if u've got a chance and the
money.
No Topic (Old and now locked)
well i've got the chance but not the money. For a woman hajj only becomes fard on her once she can afford the hajj for herself and her mahram. So I think my aunty is gonna pay for it.
But good point. Actually I made intention to go hajj last yr but that didn work out. Then this yr I made intention again and I think ALLAH has opened up a way for me.
Another wicked thing I have decided to make firm intention to do hajj every year for the rest of my life. This way if circumstances do not allow me to go then I believe my ALLAH will write a hajj for me every yr INSHAALLAH.
No Topic (Old and now locked)
yes intentions a good thing...but all i know is the only time i will get a
chance to do hajj is when im married inshallah, but i really cant wait to
go hajj...its 1 mission and my biggest dream
No Topic (Old and now locked)
MashaALLAH.
SubhanALLAH. I was just looking at some of my previous posts. Yesterday I mentioned that I was intending to go back home in xmas hols, now it is entirely possible that I may be going hajj.
About marriage. Like I said I wanted to do first hajj without family, but if I go this way then thats good aswell. But for sure after marriage I aint wasting money on romantic holidays to the beach, rather go hajj or umrah innit.
Another thing I would love is to do forty days in Saudia particularly at Ramadan time. How amazing would it be to spend the whole of Ramadan in Makkah Mukarramah and Madina Munawwarah? The Kabatullah infront of you, taraweeh namaaz, with Shaykh Sudais and Shaykh Shuraim as the imamayn. ***sighs***
No Topic (Old and now locked)
hey dont go on and on.....walahi i propa wanna be there now...those ppls kismat is so good who get a chance to go, and sheikh sudais his qirat is beautiful , i feel so bad about the fact my dad cnt go anymore, alhamdulilah he used to go every year ..
No Topic (Old and now locked)
I request Muhtarama make dua that ALLAH accept me and call me to the three harams again and again and that I die in Madinah.
Yes Shaykh Sudais does have a beautiful voice. But I noticed something that no matter what a persons voice is like, when they read Quran it ALWAYS sounds beautiful even ppl who are 'out of tune' so to speak. Like Shaykh Sudais, his voice is flowing and I dont knw why but I always associate his voice with honey. It flows, is sweet, soft on the ears, delicious.
Shaykh Shuraim has a deeper voice but subhanallah I love his recitation aswell. And there was a Shaykh in Madinah Munawwarah called Shaykh Hussain AalShaykh and his voice was mashaALLAH extremely pleasant aswell.
May ALLAH Rabbul Izzat grant a complete shifaa to Muhtarama's father and grant him hajj, umrah, ziyarah e Madinah and ziyarah e Baytul Maqdis many times. ameen
Has Muhtarama been for umrah?
No Topic (Old and now locked)
ameen suma ameen) my duas are with u inshalah ...yes true what u said
all ppl who recite quran shareef ,true its sounds good, but i must say
i mashallah i can recite quran really good ,
as for me and umrah..no i havent been ...when i will go i do not know ,whenever allah pleases
No Topic (Old and now locked)
mashaALLAH regarding Muhtarama's intention for umrah and especially for her good recitation of Quran.
By me, I personally dont think I recite that well. Alhamdulillah obviously know tajweed but I dont think I have a particularly special voice. Also never heard a women read Quran with tajweed.
That reminds me. You heard of Qari Abdul Basit yeh? Well I heard the story about how he died. A Qaria challenged Qari Abdul Basit to a competition innit to see whose qiraat was better. And during that recitation Qari Abdul Basit was reciting one of the surahs from amma para and one of the pipes/veins in his throat burst and he died like that due to how much effort he put into his qira'ah. Amazing or what!! Literally to die with Quran flowing out of your mouth, even in your literal last breath!
No Topic (Old and now locked)
LOL my recitation isnt even that good, well good enough 4 me, but if
anyone heard me recite lol that would be a joke...but my makhrij is good alhamdulillah,
actually that story i havent heard of, but thats such an amazing way to die
i wish i could die in such a way, definetly with the kalima flowing out in my last breath INSHALAH

Editorial - Washington Post, Saturday, October 1.
Gen. Musharraf 's Lies
PAKISTANI President Pervez Musharraf complains that his country is unfairly portrayed as a place where rape and other violence against women are rampant and frequently condoned. In fact, it deserves such a reputation. According to Pakistani human rights groups, thousands of attacks are reported every year, including gang rapes and "honor killings" of women who are accused of having affairs or who refuse an arranged marriage. Most of these attacks go unpunished. So retrograde are Pakistan's laws that there are more than 1,500 women in prison as a result of rapes -- they were prosecuted for adultery -- while arrests of men occur in only about 15 percent of reported cases.
Gen. Musharraf, too, deserves the reputation he is earning as a ruler who cares more about how he is perceived in the West than in implementing the policies he claims to espouse, or even in speaking the truth. The general, who seized power in a coup six years ago, has reneged on promises to retire from the army or restore democracy. He has not carried out the reform of Islamic religious schools that he promised in 2001. He has allowed the extremist Afghan Taliban movement to base itself in Pakistan's western provinces with virtual impunity. He has repeatedly insisted, almost certainly falsely, that Osama bin Laden is not in Pakistan. All the while he has gone on collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in aid each year from the Bush administration, which accepts his words and ignores most of his actions.
Gen. Musharraf claims to champion a "moderate Islam" that respects the rights of women. But when Mukhtar Mai, a victim of a gang rape whose attackers have not been punished, tried to visit the United States earlier this year, the president barred her from leaving the country. In an interview with The Post last month, he claimed that he had relented. But then he said this: "You must understand the environment in Pakistan. This has become a money-making concern. A lot of people say if you want to go abroad and get a visa for Canada or citizenship and be a millionaire, get yourself raped." This statement was, as Pakistani activists and the Canadian government soon pointed out, an outrageous lie. There is only one known case of a rape victim moving to Canada, a doctor who was assaulted by a military officer. A far more common outcome for rape victims is to be ostracized by their communities or jailed.
When Gen. Musharraf's statement provoked an uproar, he responded with another lie: He claimed that he had never made it. In fact, a recording of him speaking is available on The Post's Web site, washingtonpost.com. His words are quite clear. "These are not my words, and I would go to the extent of saying I am not so silly and stupid to make comments of this sort," the general said. Well, yes, he is.
