Sexually perverted relatives

Medarris

This is a serious issue and requires serious thought. I am specifically referring to homosexuality but shall refer to it as sexual perversion because I dont like the other word.

Now the issue is as follows. A person has known for about a year that one of his relatives female practices actively sexual perversion. He found out quite by accident but is absolutely certain that the issue is not mere rumour and that the person involved is actively practicing the sexual perversion. A year has elapsed. The person has not informed the relative that he knows her dirrty secret, only two other people know about this most shameful thing and they are the real brothers of the person who knows. Ie three brothers are aware of this fact and no1 else knows.

When the person found out his immediate reaction was to go and ask his imam about what he should do and was all geared up to ask but his shame got the better of him. The issue is so shameful that the person was even shy to go and mention such things to the imam to ask for advice about what he should do.

What do you think he should do?

At the moment, there is no major problem. The person who does this perversion is a strange relation (ghayr mahram female) and as the person does not speak beyond salaam with even female cousins he doesnt get any deep topics with the person. At the moment he gives salaam and leaves it there.

Should he confront the woman?
Should he inform her brothers and mother?
Should he just ignore it and leave her to it?

Lesbianism/homosexuality is not a natural state of existence. It needs something to fuel it. For example mental instability. I was asking wether the lack of activity may have been the fuel.

i agree

and in many cases counselling is the answer

not condemnation from Mufti wannbe men

I dont think anything short of kindness to these women may bring them back.

There are ways to condemn.

I think all/any useful posts have already been made, so it high time to leave this topic.
no ur wrong

Islam is all about having the "them" and "us" mentality

"them" being the ones who eat Halwa on Thursday
and 'us' who eat it on saturday?

what about 'me'?

are 'me' who don't like halwa?

I've heard that the act is condemned. But those who genuinely beleive that they are attracted to the same sex should be treated and er... 're-programmed'.

Medarris — Sat, 3 Sep 2005 - 22:54

LOOOOOOOOOOL!

ALL the above posts prove what I mean by 'them''.

Lol mention halwa and all the halwa-lovers come crawling out and narrating their memories and experiences!

(Saying this in light hearted manner, any ppl who want to start an arguement ur wasting ur breath)

I wont be unjust. Halwa is ok in small amounts but some halwa is totally off limits for me.

Bread halwa is not to my taste.
Pumpkin halwa is ok when its still warm and runny.
Gajrela is nice even after reheating.

But thats it.

She doesn't have to be forcibly married. Just presented with the idea of marriage.

In order to get out of it she may have to come out of the closet.

such people end up having "marraiges of convenince" and end up ruining other peoples lives

first a person needs to get straight before they can enter a straight relationship

Medarris — Sun, 4 Sep 2005 - 18:08

when i mentioned marriage of convenience i dont think i explained it.

By her the type of MoC she wanted to do was with a Ho mo Sex ual ''muslim'' man. Apparently there are websites dedicated to ''gay muslims'' findin marriage partners for MoC. So this is HOW FAR she has gone on the path to her deception.
