Homs is currently held by the rebels but under siege by Assad's forces.
No food etc is getting in so the besieged people are starving to death. It's quite horrendous.
There is a conference that was taking in place in Geneva where Assad's side offered to let the women and children leave.
Previously when tey have allowed people to leave a besieged area, they have arrested the men and taken them away as prisoners. There was a report last week where it was suggested that prisoners were being systematically tortured and killed, something they had to get around 55,000 photos of, around 11,000 victims.
Imam cynical over such offers and deals but without intevention I cannot see what else can be done either.
