Re: Places to go and People to see
I think adventure is key to all the places i want to go.
I think i missed of PARIS (AKA DISNEYLAND LOL)
Re: Places to go and People to see
I've been to a few places, some several times, but hey, i still enjoyed it. I want somebody to take me to Pakistan one day. I'm not really bothered where I go, so long as i'm accompanied with an amazing person(s), it's safe and outside of the UK AND i have the money to pay for the ticket, accomodation and things to buy.
Re: Places to go and People to see
Wow Rome. Ive always wanted to go there. It has soooo much history. The Pantheon, the Colosseum.
But they were kinda cruel and superstitious bunch.
Re: Places to go and People to see
Ive recently been having adventures in my local area. just jump on a bus with a particular aim or fuzzy destination and then get off whenever you want and walk - sorta adventure. I've had a lot of fun and it was just great.
all you need is to be easily pleased and see the amazing in the ordinary.
this is just something i felt like saaying to balance out the "theres nothing here, i wanna go there" feel that some might feel sometimes. I felt like that not long ago. hence the adventures.

Re: Places to go and People to see
I love the fact that once i became a driver i could go ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE!
No need to worry about transport or how long busses or trains would arrive. Just jump in the car and off you go.

Not trying to make you jelous at all. Just hinting at how everyone should learn to drive. Though it is an expense. It does however opens up new possibilites. You can travel further for work and pleasure. And you are no longer at the mercy of public transport.

Sigh. I haven't got my provisional sorted out yet either. I think the reason I'm not bothering at this moment in time is because it's not necessary. I already have daddy who is my personal, contstantly available taxi driver lol.
Re: Places to go and People to see
I learnt to drive whilst I was in college. Which was probably the most ideal time for me because after that I started university and then had to work too. So life just got overly busy and I dont think I would have been able to do later on. A couple of my other friends who didnt bother with it at the time, still dont drive and curse the fact that they didnt do it when in college too.
Plus it meant i could help the family out too by having more than one driver. Mashallah my mum can drive too now but she doesnt like driving at night or going longdistance on motorways. So its another way that I can help the family out. e.g. we're planning a shopping trip to Birmingham soon, and my dad HATES going shopping. So it helps that I can take my mum and sister.
Re: Places to go and People to see
My dad will happily come along, drop us off and go home. Or he'd wait in the car and get on with some work he has to do. There's never a time when there isn't a book he can dig himself into. I think it's mainly because there's too many girls in our household and we don't go into the mens departments. I love my dad. So unique like that.
I'm supposed to get my priorities straight as they say. Driving doesn't seem to be a priority. Neither do a lot of things. Exactly one week ago, I got the most strangest look from my dad when he saw me vacuuming the stairs and downstairs on a Monday almost-evening. I was asked WHY i was doing such a thing when i need to leave the house in 90 minutes. Cleaning didn't seem to be a priority at that specific time either.

Re: Places to go and People to see
I put off learning to drive for a looooong long time. I shouldn't have and if I had learned when I was younger it could have opened new paths, allowed to do other things.
Don't wait until you are forced to drive - because then at that point it will take months if not years til you are able to drive.
Re: Places to go and People to see
Might consider it this Summer in that case. I'll be free as anything inshaAllah.
