I've just been told:
"After praying the 4 Rakah of taraweeh ppl recite Dua like..
(Subhana ZilMulki wal Malakuti, Subhana ZilIzzati wal Azmati...)
It is not not proven from any authentic Sunnah of our Prophet (salallahu allahi wasalam) that this is a MUST. The rest time after 4 rakats if for having a breather and refreshing vuzoo etc"
Has anyone else heard of this? Is it true? I always done this dua in my taraweeh namaz thinking it's part of the namaz and namaz won't be accepted without this. Have I been wrong or all these years or is this info wrong?
Comments
I've always done the dua too, hmm.
"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi
Hmm...never really questioned it. Would be good to find out.
Though yes the break at four rakaats is 'a break' for rest etc.
Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH
Yes i have heard of this dua. I don't know the 'exact' status of it, but i defineatly know that it is not Fardh (obligatory). It is Mubaah, which means acceptable and permissable, so there's nothing wrong with gaining some extra reward and including it whilst praying Taraweeh.
