Guys in the delivery room.

When the time comes for me inshallah I would want my husband to be there, he is there for me when I am sad/happy etc and I sure as hell would want him to be there when I am giving birth to our child!

Its not about him holding your hand through it because the pain most people describe is hell, but he is there for support for you to lean on him when required.

In this situation it doesn't matter what the husband wants IMO, if his wife wants him there then he should be there and if she doesn't  he should wait outside for the good news.

As a couple you go through everything and one of the most beautiful thing is bringing a life in to this world and I would not want my husband to miss that moment.

Hmmm, my opinion. I've got a long way yet but when the time comes, I'd give my so-called husband a choice. If he wants to hear my pain, screaming and shouting, then he can do, and if he doesn't want to be there and would rather support me before and after then i think i'd appreciate whatever decision he makes. In no way will his absence deprive us of strengthening our relationship, and i think the love and care should defineatly be present in the marriage already. For some people, the delivery room can be an uncomfortable and awkward place and thats why i think they wouldn't want to be present at the immediate birth of their child.

I'm sorry but it's really difficult to take a guy seriously in this situation. It has 'lame' written all over it. 

You are so 5 years old. You're making me sound selfish. 

A guy last week actually got hit by a car, got up and made it to see his daughter birthed. Another one was throwing up in the bathroom but ONLY left the room to go and pray and then come back. And then there are men like you. So don't tell me you feel sorry for me mate.

Just make sure you tell the woman you get lumped with that you will be outside the door when shes giving birth rather than with her. See what she says 🙂
