A passenger hurls Racist abuse on public transport

Emma West, 34, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.

She cried as the three magistrates watched the footage, which has now been seen more than 11 million times online.

An administrative error earlier led to Ms West entering a not guilty plea.

The court file was later amended to show she has not yet pleaded.

Ms West was remanded in custody until 3 January.

Are you being serious? What if that somebody is of a different race or colour- she might start abusing that person

She's not a 2 year old kid

If she is able to hurl abuse like that then she should have the bottle  to accept what's coming her way, if we let this go lightly then other person might want to copy her which is a very dangerous thing as we life in a multicultural society

I certainly do feel sorry for her because she may be poor and deprived but being rich would not make a difference to the type of sentence she may deserve.  I feel she deserves a community order whereby she is allocated a good Muslim sister buddy for a while from whom she would soon learn that we are not ogres.  I bet she changes her foul views and comes to love and respect us or at very least tolerate us. Of course there's always the possibility she may not change in that case she must be educated further to the virtues of respect and self respect and how one feeds off the other. 

Education is the key here not incarceration a restorative approach would be far more beneficial then a punitive one ...yup that's what I think

Laila makes a good point here, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

 Remember this guy, who hated the Prophet (pbuh) and was hell bent on killing him. But guess what, he has been guarenteed Jannah by Allah (swt); he took Shahadah and became one of our greatest leaders. That's Umar bin al Khattab for you!

Racist Tube rant woman Jacqueline Woodhouse jailed

She received a 21-week prison sentence and a five-year Asbo at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The judge told Woodhouse she would serve half her prison term behind bars and imposed an order banning her from using the Tube and the Docklands Light Railway while drunk, for a five-year period
