End of the world soon?

RI_RS

So I was talking to some friends today, and apparently, Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi and some shaykh Nazim, who I haven't heard of, have predicted that Imam mahdi might/will be at the coming Hajj.

Apparently the revolution in the middle East is a big sign as well? (They didn't say that, my friend did)

So yeah, could this be true? It's really scary.

Oh yeah AND another friend also said that supposedly anyone who doesnt have a pir should get one now or they're pretty much screwed. Is that true; do I NEED one??

Shaykh Nazim adil Haqqani is doing hajj this year..

Shaykh Nazim believes that Imam Mahdi (as) is already here.

Lol no. Not everyone needs a pir/shaykh.

The only people who need a shaykh/pir are those who want to progress spirtually.

No you dont need one.

and unlike other wishy washy predictions in the long future, you can test this one in a month or so's time.

I've not heard anything of the sort though... but I have read something else which is interesting... let me try and find it... (hadith about the conquest of constantinople)

Hello, thats most people, i.e anyone who wants to advance?
Are you saying that I can't progress spiritually without one?

also why does he think he's already here; and does he have proof?

Found it:

The Prophet said, "Did you ever hear of a city located partly on land and partly in the sea? They (the Companions) said: Messenger of Allah Ever. He Saw said: It happened the day of Resurrection, so he was attacked by 70,000 people from Bani Ishaq. When they had got there, so they enter it. They are not fighting with guns and did not release any single arrows. They just say Laa ilaha illa Allaah akbar, then fell one part of the city. Said Tsaur (narrators of hadith): I do not know unless it is; only say that troops are in the sea. Then they say the second time Laa ilaha illa Allaah Akbar, then fell also some other (land). Then they said again Laa ilaha illa Allaah Akbar, then opened all of the city. Then they entered it. When they were handing out the war booty, suddenly there came a man (Satan), shouting: Behold the liars have been out. Then they left everything and come back. "HR. Muslim, Kitaab wa Asyratus Fitan Sa'ah"

In the past 50 or 60 years, there have been three attempts at changing the turkish system back to one tht tolerates Islam:

1. Adnan Menderes in the 1950's. There was a coup and he was executed.
2. Turgut Ozal in the late 80's early 90's. It is alleged he was poisoned to death.
3. The AKP from 2002 onwards.

All three movements were democratic and did not use violence when promoting Islam.

With this third one, the military command has more or less admitted defeat this past ramadan.

So if you squint in a certain way (weapons are words instead of weaponry - this is domacracy in action), this hadith could be seen as talking about now.

You can progress without one but it is better if you have a guide, a teacher.

I asked one of his mureeds once, she said that there is a hadith about a star, star meaning Imam Mahdi (as) is here, and that Shaykh Nazim said that star has already been seen. Something like that.

People have opinions on such things based on conjecture and personal ideas/study etc, but it is all to be taken with a bit of salt.

On the other hand, if Imam Mahdi will be recognised as an adult, he must also live the earlier years of his life before he gets there.

Following stars is very dangerous, maybe even banned.

I may have got that all wrong. It was a good couple of years ago when i asked so don't quote me on it.

I agree with Silence. World has a long way to go.

According to our teachings, Jesus Christ has to return first.
