Re: No Topic 7
I'm so bored....i need to do something. I quit my job but i have another job ready for me in January insha Allah.
Don't know if i can do any islamic courses for upto 6 months, i would love to learn to speak arabic but 6 months is too short :/
I have nothing to do yet i've been waking up at 6am every day and going sleep at like 11pm, wierd. I'm so tired .......ok gonna go gym 🙂
I need ideas, don't wanna waste these 6 months....or maybe the blessing is that i get to rest with no worries for 6 months?

If I do all the parts..It'll take me a yr and 6 months to inshaaAllah be fluent if thats the objective once youve completed all the parts. Thanx Foysol! 😃
Re: No Topic 7

And....err you're welcome 🙂 about time i returned the favour....whatever i did. I wanna learn arabic but i'll guess i'm gonna have to take it slow....bit i know someone who was taught by saud al shuraim, i got links innit 😉
Re: No Topic 7
Personally id say '6 months is too short so I won't at least make a start at Arabi' isn't a good enough reason nit to.
It doesn't matter how long u learn for, the only thing whichd help or harm ur progress is how hard u'r willing to work at it.
U can learn a lot in 6 months. There's courses which focus just on the most commonly used words in the Quran so u can gan ability to understand a lot quickerly

I said this to my dad. Except for a year. He was like theres no point if u dont complete the course. He just doesn't want me learning from 'tablighi jamaat' peope. And I haven't found an alternative. So flipping annoying, instead they want me to go learn Urdu. Grr
(I didn't find those laws, teacher showed them)

They want you to learn something that you could make use of in your day to day life, that's what I call good parents

I get by just fine as it is. I think I need more help with 'getting by' in the after life
Re: No Topic 7
Much more benefit from learning Arabic, but I understand why they don't want it taught along with a specific viewpoint.
Why jot just find a kind looking granny in the masjid reading quran who looks like their from Arabic background, an ask her. She'l blatantly at least know OF some1 who could teach.

There's not gna be any granny's that are Arab, at my mosque but even if I do find such a person (my friend teaches at an 'Arabic school' and may have links) they will have a different viewpoint too. I've heard lectures by one of the lectures by one of the teachers who would've been teaching me (shaykh Zahir mahmood) and haven't heard anything dodgy from him. I don't know if they are 'tablighi jamaat' people and my dad was told this by the local imam, but tbh I think sometimes the labels are pointless and people should look beyond them.
Re: No Topic 7
Of course. Most tabligi jamat ppl iv met are amongst the nicest Muslims iv met.
The main criticism is that men are encouraged to spend time away from their familys (making da'wa etc)
As long as ur aware of what they are then I personally don't see a problem
Re: No Topic 7
Seriously? That's the main criticism? I think my dad thinks they have a completely diff belief system or something :/

I heard self-confessed salafis slagging of their main text book, and met very nice TJ's

whats "self-confessed"? and yep tablighies are known for their good manners. but ive heard their text book got made up stuff in it. and they encourage even the one with no much knowledge to "go out". and idont know how rare or often that is - they often "go out" (for dawah) for long periods of time - as in months.
i think thats the main issue..
i wanna do the arabic course! but;.dont know if i got that money to spare...

Jazakallah khair for the advice, will defo look into learning qur'anic arabic insha Allah. What i meant by taking it slow was, instead of aiming to do courses within 6 months i could just do lessons like once a week and take it step by step instead of an intensive course.
Thanks though once again 😉
