My 3yr old cousin was on the floor just rolling about when I noticed her trousers were ripped pretty badly.

So I pointed it out and started laughing and she was just like "no they're not ripped!" and quickly got up trying to cover the fact.

But then she gave in and let my mum fix them for her.

In the mean time she had no trousers on and there was just me and her 7yr old sister in the room.

Yet she still felt embarrassed showing her legs! It was funny seeing her trying to cover her legs with a scarf which wasn't big enough, then she tried putting her cardigan on them. I told her not to put her legs through the 'arms' though and just tied it around her instead. She didn't realise that only the front part of her legs were covered and you could see the back so she got all happy and started walking around again showing off her 'jilbaab'.

Although young kids can wear shorts/skirts etc I think it's great that they realise how much covering is important. But there should be a limit, I saw a little girl, walking with her mum wearing a niqab!! :shock:
And a thought just occured to me - maybe she was a dwarf? But she looked too small from what you could notice, the face looked kiddish. hmmm

The door knocked so I went to open it and all I see is a bunch of guys - all with beards and thaubs. And none of them looked at me but one of them whilst looking down started speaking. At first I thought he was blind (cuz of how he was looking down) but he goes "Are there any brothers home?" Without me even saying anything! I just thought WOW! he's actually looking down!!

It was weird and now thinking about it, it feels a little wrong for me to have directly looked at him, when speaking :S

But yeah good on them, MashaAllah.

I should've looked through the window but even if I did I probably would've opened it as I would've thought they want charity and they're not gna harm me, plus the guys weren't home. The people at the door were actually trying to get people to come to mosque.

@ the original blog - if someone is going to do door to door tabligh, they better well expect that there will be women in those houses.

Seems rather rude to not have considered that eventuality.

btw, I hope you do realise that a big part of opening the door is to judge the person on the other end to see if they should enter/be invited in or not and in such a situation, looking at your own feet wont suffice.
